I may be able to answer this, although my knowledge is limited. I was told all the fighters got "paid" the same amount ($20k) for training specifically and that most of them completely used that up by paying their trainers etc in the months leading up to the event, and that a payment for the event appearance itself was never on the table. This is why a lot of them said they were fighting for free/"for charity" because only training was paid for.

It could be that some fighters got paid more under the table but that would be very scandalous for obvious reasons. I'll be very surprised if that's the case, but anything is possible at this point lol
