Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

The war in Ukraine has demonstrated just how much is needed in the worst case scenario: each day, Ukrainian forces fire about 18,000 155-mm shells. As a result, Rheinmetall has decided to increase its production levels to levels not seen since the 1980s, and is planning to manufacture 600,000 shells annually by hiring hundreds of new employees for its site in Lower Saxony.
In addition to that, Rheinmetall is planning to take over Spanish ammunitions manufacturer Expal-Systems, for €1.2 billion, to be able to produce enough grenades. Old defense manufacturing technologies are still ready to produce brand-new weapons.
In Hangar 74, designated for weapons assembly, a huge, perfectly serviced lathe turns a gleaming barrel of the type 155-L60 – a newly developed type of barrel that will enable artillery shells to be fired up to 80 kilometres.
Right next door, Rheinmetall is finishing its construction of a new assembly line for 35-mm ammunition, used by the “Gepard” self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. Until now, production of the shells was situated in Switzerland, but the Swiss do not want to grant export permission any longer.
As a result, experts at Rheinmetall developed a completely new production line within just a few months, and the first of the newly and locally produced ammunition will leave the assembly belt as early as next month. Things have to move fast now.
It seems that, here in Unterlüss at least, nothing is left of the once palpable hesitancy of the German people, so clearly felt during the early months of the war.
The company´s message seems clear: armament production in Germany may have long been in a peaceful slumber, but its old capabilities are still here and can be woken up and put to work more easily than critics thought. The war in Ukraine has awoken a slumbering giant.

While Russian industry continues to shrink for the second year in a row, crippled by import restrictions on maintenance parts, machines and other technical goods, NATO countries are ramping up production.
The numbers are interesting because in late December Perun estimated a production of 300k 155mm shells for all of Europe while Rheinmetall alone now makes 450k a year and plans to make 600k at the end of the year. Other companies have stated they are working on doubling to tripling their production as well as reopening production lines for Soviet ammunition. The demilitarisation of the satanist west is proceeding in accordance with the stated goals of the Special Military Operation and is even ahead of schedule!

New video posted by #Ukrainian combatants with 122mm BM-21 pattern MLRS.

The launcher is loaded with several 9M22U-pattern rockets and a #Porcupine 🦔.

Fact check: That is not a porcupine, it is a hedgehog.

I have no idea where this is from or what breed of owl it is.

I wonder how they came to this conclusion. They can see the roof with drones and from across the shoreline.
Full context is important here I think:
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially informs about a possible provocation of the occupants at Zaporizhzhia NPP in the near future

According to operational information, today, foreign objects similar to explosive devices were placed on the outer roof of the third and fourth power units of Zaporizhzhya NPP. Their detonation is not intended to damage the power units, but may create an image of shelling from Ukraine. This is what the Russian media and telegram channels are disinforming about.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not violate international humanitarian law, monitor and control the situation and are ready to act under any circumstances. No enemy provocation will succeed, - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Has anyone seen a zigger explain why operation of the plant wasn't given to the IAEA? If there's one organisation in the world that helps everyone and has no ulterior motives it's them. It would also absolve the Russians of any blame should should Ukrainians shell it or disconnect power lines. The only reason I can imagine is that the Russians want to keep the opportunity to stage another false flag there.
It's like the combination of reports about Russian crimes against humanity in occupied regions and refusal to help civilians trapped after they blew the dam, while not allowing neutral workers in to merely distribute humanitarian aid.
Can't help but suspect nefarious motives with rashists.

Video of the Donetsk boom. Volume warning. Loud.
For a fireball that big they must have hit a grouping of children. When will Donbass be free from this terrorism?

Because the IAEA would honor Ukraine's international agreements which include sending power to EU. And as implied, it'd make it impossible for Russia to use the plant as a bargaining chip or do false flag shit.

Also all NGOs are tools of NATO Ok they aren't entirely wrong there, but its still fucked up to deny rescue operation. If Jeffery Eppstein wants to get in a boat and save people from a flood you shouldn't mortar him right then

I barely skimmed through the thread like the lazy ass that I am, and didn't see this thing about a power plant getting bombed soon. Reckon there's anything to it or is someone being retarded on the internet?

Its a concern, but its hard to say who is actually doing the fearmongering. Russia for holding the plant as a defensive fortification, or Ukraine for constantly harping about super double plus bad it is for Russia to have it.

That said, there has been enough concern in official circles that the Russians may actually try and stage an incident at the ZNP. So much so that several US Senators have urged our Corpse in Chief to make it clear radioactive fallout crossing the NATO frontier should be interpreted as a direct attack.

At the moment though most people think its more fear mongering. Of course, this rhetoric did exist prior to the Kakovka Dam being destroyed, so there is a concern the Russians are foolish enough to do something dumb. It also has to be noted there is no way Ukraine could "destroy" a reactor and not have the US and friends know about it. There are probably enough sattelites monitoring that facility its being watched in real time. Besides, Ukraine would be shooting itself in the foot. The facility abuts the Dneiper River. a Major incident would poison all of Ukraine's most productive farm land, which is quite literally the biggest component of their economy. There is no way they would do such a thing.

I bet the artist did this on purpose and assumed the censors would be far too stupid to notice how he or she was deliberately subverting the instructions.

It's hard to see how it is not a direct attack. Russia can't detonate a nuclear weapon on its territory ten feet from the Estonian border and say, hey we didn't attack you, we did it on our own land. A chunk of Estonia would be fried and they know it would. Similarly, if they intentionally cause a nuclear meltdown that they know will send radiation across NATO borders, it is not much different.

There's a good chance the radioactive cloud would flow down to Turkey, which would for sure harden Erdogan against Russia.

At a minimum NATO would demand an immediate halt to the fighting so "liquidators" could be dispatched to Energhodar to put the incident under control before it got out of hand. Russia and Ukraine weren't the only countries to learn from the Chernobyl incident. First lesson being shit does not improve with time. If Russia refused to allow such forces to be dispatched, its not outside the realm of possible the US and the EU would use direct military force to make it happen.

And as others have pointed out, if this really IS a convoluted 4d Chess move by the perfidous hohols and their puppet masters to bring NATO into the war, they could just turn the facility over to the IAEA, run a UN flag up the flag pole and declare the immediate environs an off limits international zone pending resolution of the conflict.

One day late for the 4th of July...
Whenever Captain HIMARS hits something, every day is the 4th of July courtesy of Uncle Sam.

I've seen far more patriotism for America in Ukraine this year, than anything I've seen from my fellow Americans; even in the depths of SEC country. The flag is a fucking accessory anymore, and patriotism is ancillary to the food & football, symbolizing for most a 3-day weekend.... even an alien invasion hasn't woke anyone up. :tomgirl:

Edit: Mariupol locals unhappy with their new Russian neighbors.
Over the past two weeks, eight Russian soldiers were found killed in different areas of occupied Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian authorities said, citing Russian channels on Telegram.

Source: Mariupol City Council on Telegram with reference to one of the Russian Telegram channels

Details: According to an unnamed Russian officer, who is now located in Mariupol, eight soldiers were found murdered in different parts of the city over the past two weeks: six of them were stabbed, two shot in the back of the head.

According to the officer, the facts of deaths are carefully concealed so that panic does not begin among the Russian units. According to the occupiers, they see that Mariupol residents do not like them. Therefore, there is a suspicion that local residents did this," said the legally elected city council, while out of the city.

Can someone explain the "mobik cube" to me? Just looks like rotting slaughterhouse waste to me.
It's a meme and it spreads because it funnily lambasts how the Russian government is treating Russian soldiers. Some people probably actually believe it's true, but as you said it's most likely a nearby slaughterhouse illegally dumping waste.

Yeah, I'm sure the coroners at the front lines got tired of sorting the meat chunks from HIMARS airbursts.

Oh wait, you meant an actual slaughterhouse. My bad.

these 155 BONUS shells are some magic aimbot shit

I almost posted that same tank kill this morning, but figured the crispy ending was a bit too gratuitous for the early AM.
Both of those videos were posted in the last iteration of this thread, but they're still informative and I agree; magic aimbot shit.

It's like they took the two most terrifying S-class threats to an armored crew, laser-guided artillery & EFPs, and merged them into a final Legendary form. They were bad enough emplaced separately (or daisy-chained) in guardrails, culverts, overpasses & dead animals; EFPs were the only things that I was truly scared of back then, especially after I learned about both firsthand.

Riding a tank into war used to be one of my childhood dreams (except I grew too tall irl), but I'd have to be welded into one against my will now.

I should've been a cannon-cocker instead.
