Trump's deference to Israel was done by moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and trying to work out peace accords in the Middle East to get muslims and jews to stop shooting each other for 5 seconds.

DeSantis meanwhile went to Israel to sign a law to make it illegal to hand out fliers anywhere public where you hurt the feelings of G-d's Chosen by pointing out the religion of people pushing shit.

Dude that's 100000 times worse. Israel has a settler colonial project, illegal under international law. If you support that, what's even to argue about? And US has enabled and supported it from its inception to this day. Without the US, shit would be different.

Yeah, a lot of Presidents had just kept it in Tel Aviv until Trump just said "Okay, we're finally doing what Congress said we should do". If you brought that up to certain people you could easily visualize the NPC cue cards that replaced their brains shuffling until they came up with a reason as to why Trump adhering to US law on the matter was in fact bad.

US has and is funding plenty of those dictators. International law is incredibly important for smaller countries. Without it you have to resort to war each time there's a conflict to solve. And the only way to not get invaded is to make nukes. You really don't want nukes everywhere, but without law and order, this is where we will end.

They've been doing that specific trick as long as I've been paying attention to those numbers. If we're really at 52.5% true unemployment we're so, so fucked, and the second anyone notices it'll be like Wile E. Coyote walking off a cliff -- just fine until he looks down, suddenly gravity exists again.

Seriously, those are "lets start up a war to keep people busy and not rioting" numbers.

I distinctly remember Hillary's campaign starting to rev up the "we've always been at war with [shuffles cards] Russia" bullshit towards the end of that election, when it was presumed it was her turn and all that. According to "the plan" we were probably supposed to be at war with Russia from 2016 - 2020 or 2024 or so to destroy / balkanize that region and use up a bunch of old military stock / kill off some useless eaters. Just one of many things Trump disrupted, and the proxy war in the Ukraine is obviously a desperate "Plan B."
