It's PC only right now but releases on Switch later this year. I just watched a review and Dave the Diver looks like exactly the kind of game that Phil claims to really want (I.E a creative unique game that isn't just another genre staple) but will never give a look because it's not a huge AAA release and it's not on Gamepass.

He only plays on console, so that by itself rules out 80 of all the good games released this decade, which are mostly pc only indie titles.

He also despises gaming, he loathes the activity, he is absolutely jaded on it, because it's his "jahb" and like all jobs, it's now nothing but a chore after decades doing it, and he now dreads sitting in that chair every single moment he is not doing it.

The "variety" is purely because its the only way he can even cope with doing his streams, he couldn't possibly play the same game for continuous sessions to completion, he would find a putting a gun to his head more appealing. By changing the game every stream he is basically doing the equivalent of jumping between endless different movies 5 minutes at a time because you are too disinterested to sit through any given one of them.

He truly is living in his own little hell. The begging and gotcha games are the only parts he enjoys.

Phil got stream sniped by a Luke named "Ahnline Khambos" and got completely destroyed, then the very next match was against a Guile who got a double perfect. He's been pretty salty.

I couldn't capture it all. Was watching on the other monitor and only went back to clip when he did his outbursts or said some stupid shit. So I just smooshed all the clips in with no transitions of the random stupid shit.

Didn't bother getting any clips of his Casual Ryu because that was just disrespectful of anyones time. Fuckin' having to learn Ryu? Dude took full advantage of new player day 1 shit to hijack the ranks with his gimmick blanka bullshit that now he has to actually learn the game mechanics. Fucking drive rush in neutral a month into the games lifespan while this fuckin dickhead only cared about easy wins.

I've been away and this is the most astounding dial back moments of him now acting like he hasn't touched the fuckin game before or a character like Ryu in over what, 20 fuckin years? Offensive behavior considering he just wanted to duck gettin his ass blown out because it didn't take him long to relearn Blanka now, who got way more of a kit upgrade than fuckin' homeless karate man.

This game exposed him as a fuckin' fraud on all fronts(Fundamentals,Inputs, Frames Delay, Ping). A dude larping as a professional fighting game player.

Also want to add that when he got his Ryu ranked high, it's to prevent people like this fuckin gatekeeping scrub to smurf on a new character. So his plan on switching characters when he gets his ass beat got a wrench thrown into it. Good job shooting your own foot Phil.

I love when a game like TotK or Div 2 sneaks though and gives him that innovative, unique, and creative game he says he wants. Games that by most objective standards are extremely well made, high quality, and give the players a ton of tools to be creative and interact with the world. Then Grug gets his hooves on it and just maulds the entire time because the fat retard get confused by basic life concepts like metal conducts and heavy objects weigh more then light objects.

Then suddenly games need to be focused and stick to formulas that work! No one wants a zelda game with hundreds of hours of side content because the average gamer needs to play a variety of games for this audience or something. The people want zelda games to be super linear and have no exploring, just like they never used to be!

Obviously he just hates video games so every game he plays is going to suck unless its pay to win or a baby walking sim. He just needs to start his retarded politics and religion podcast. He might have more luck just being an outright cult leader.

Seeing Metatron in relation to DSP is the last thing I expected. It's a great historical channel with some based takes opposing woke academia's attempts to rewrite history lately.
He has another channel with a linguistic focus, since he himself is Italian, who learned and taught English, Japanese (lived there for a while too) and possibly more. He's a bit of a weeb and a HEMA enjoyer.
He has a dramatic flair to him that some might find cringe, but I got over it eventually. He's fairly knowledgeable and makes decent content.

Metatron probably just saw him randomly playing the game he was interested in or something and found it entertaining enough to sub, doubt he's aware for all the drama or who DSP is, but I get the feeling it's only a matter of time.

DSP sees Derich as a longtime positive fan (i.e: might not throw money, but will not dare to criticise or question), who's also actually retarded, so a soft spot for him might be at play.
He also does not care about what he does outside the streams, but does not want to be involved with it. In regards to the "cute girls" playlists, he does "not know anything about it, dood", nor does he want to look it up or attribute it to Derich's malice/sick thoughts.

It's a waste of time.
Seeing someone willingly continue to give DSP money, if aware of the scam, is much more interesting.

I've been watching some old TIHYDP and I have to say I really feel bad for his neighbors back in Renton. Not because of DSP's constant whining, yelling, and other noises; but because he admitted himself he'd have the tv on max volume so his camera could pick it up. I'd love to hear a few stories from his condo neighbors about how that autistic shut in NEET would snort and ignore everyone asking him to turn it down in the middle of the night.
