They are called Sedevacantists, and Mel Gibson is one himself. It stems from removing the Latin Mass and changing it to English during Vatican II, 1967.These are dudes who consider the current Pope (and even the previous much more militant Pope) invalid, and believe that the seat of Peter is essentially vacant.
Slavery is still legal, or at the very least "redefined" but still essentially just slavery.. Literally everywhere except a handful of extremely racist countries. Oddly enough, Slavery does still exist in those countries where it is outright banned, and is usually practiced as part of the cultural enrichment of said racist societies. There are more people enslaved today than in any other time in history, including when slavery was legal.
Pretty sure the skinny one is really liberal like insanely so and one of them is a very open 2000’s Internet Edgy Athiest. It’s not really an action film. It’s a sting and heist movie.i wonder if james gunn defenders RLM are going to review it
My local theater doesn't bother checking tickets, so I always just walk right in. I admit, I wish I paid for this.I enjoyed it, it was a decently put together thriller. The cinematography and editing were good, especially when it covered events from the kids' perspective. It dealt with disgusting subject matter tastefully, no Cuties-tier pedo-fuel. I think when the child actors are old enough to watch the film, they are going to be surprised by what type of film they were in, most scenes with them were shot in a way that relied on implication or cut away from the kid when the pedos said something vile. It was schlocky and over-earnest in places, but we've had a decade plus of ironic detachment in every movie that isn't self-important capeshit, it's nice to see a character be earnest and not be embarrassed by it. The jungle-rescue was obviously an embellishment, I didn't care, it was fine, and I don't think a downer ending would have served the movie well.
I paid for 7 other people to see this movie, because I wanted to contribute to Disney's Dial of Destiny humiliation and make journos code and seethe. I don't care if the tickets are ever used, the satisfaction of adding to the box office was well worth $100. I was too broke at the time for Gamestop, wasn't shopping at Target to begin with, Starbucks coffee is shit and always has been, and have never drank Bud Light piss-water. My options for financially punishing the people currently making everything horrible are limited, propping up a slightly hokey movie released by Mormons will have to do.
they did this the last 2000 years and mellowed out by now. but since history is cyclical they most likely gonna get full fundie again at some point.I also read those Left Behind books but like all this schlock, it descends into self-fellating nonsense soon enough. It could have been a contendah! The premise anyway is not bad, but idk why Christians get that unique zealotry to evangelize that doesn’t seem to be as prevalent in the other Abrahamic religions. Aren’t they called to spread the word of God also, or nah?
Mostly nothing is shown, it is all implied. It is still upsetting but the film isn't very graphic, thankfully.I am unable to stomach this movie. I can look at horrible shit but I can't handle ANYthing that involves the harm of children-- even reenactments.
I can't wait for the reviews where the journo obviously hasn't seen the movie. They should have ignored the movie entirely, instead of Streisand-ing it, they are only making people wonder why the MSM and Hollywood are going so hard against anti-trafficking themes. Every time they pitch a fit about a piece of media or product that they deem insufficiently pious to their values, they create a new market for that movie: people like me who will give the product money, just because it lets me say "FUCK YOU, you don't control the narrative".However, the reaction to it is telling. Plenty of articles, reviews and comments on various sites like Deadline.com are full of fuming about nebulous "right wing groups" supposedly making block purchases of tickets to elevate the box office (no details as to who and how much, of course, and similar claims were made about Passion of the Christ). The media line going forward in regards to the issue looks like it's going to emphasize the pitfalls of mob justice and how "conspiracy theories" about pedophile rings rather than the actual trafficking of children are the Real Problem.
They might actually revive QAnon.
QAnon was a /pol/ LARP thread that went viral because the media/feds latched onto it
