Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

I'm finding myself enjoying some of The Lore Lodge in terms of theories and Indian folklore that gets brought up about them. For this Missing 411 related video, for example, the theory is honestly one of the more plausible theories, and the accounts that are talked about are chilling to me.
Many of the Missing 411 cases seem to be sensationalized. The writer of the books has also been accused of lying about his own research, fabricating false evidence, and hiding evidence to mystify cases.

There's a pretty good video on the Dennis Martin cases which according to the Missing 411 narrative involves one or more "feral humans." One of the rangers who was assigned to the case confirms that there was a "wild man" in the area, but is very clear that he was human and harmless. The family father that is reported to have seen a "wild man" carrying something was interviewed even though the Missing 411 writer claimed he had died. The man claims that he saw a suspicious man leaving the park, but didn't see him carry anything.

this is the first analog horror video where the cameraman sounds like some guy
I saw this but skipped it because I'm just tired of one guy's models, but I'm glad I checked it out. I appreciate the guy being genuine.

It looks like Nexpo had to reupload his video.

I think to promote his personal channel and side channel. It’s not as distracting as Misery Machine so I don’t care.

Been forever since I visited this thread. After a long time of Youtube not recommending me this kind of content, it started doing it again. Glad to see nothing has changed, only that the morons who make these kind of videos bent over even more for YT.

Gonna watch the shitty Nexpo videos. Is he still larping thinking his videos are some kind of deep art? Guess I'll find out lol.

When did This is Monsters start showing his face in videos? Puzzling choice - he isn't the most charismatic presenter, and him being there adds nothing to the video. The old format was much better, with the b-roll to help me follow along. Now I'm just distracted by, "Oh, that's what you look like".
A few videos ago. He seems to have some woke opinions as well, which he needs to shut up about, I don't listen to true crime for politics.

I do enjoy Nick Crowleys' videos (he covers obscure stuff and actually releases videos monthly) but everything him and Nexpo do is pathetic, first the failed "Liminal Land" now this ghost hunting crap

the views are terrible so hopefully they'll bail like they did with the ARG

Got this guy recommended, he talks about creepy literature which is a good hook and he's not a big baby about it. Very DIY but interesting.

really makes the Nexpo video look like absolute shit in contrast.
If I have to be honest I only watch Nexpo videos because of their visuals, rather than their content, it's something I can just play on the TV and have a little bit of suspension of disbelief, otherwise I wouldn't really rely on youtubers to provide authentic information about an event.

Really the only exception I found that does his research well is Barely Sociable, it's the only channel that doesn't try to blow up the topic they're covering.
Overall I feel this sort of draught that happened to Horror youtubers, they all seem to be moving to this IRL documentary format, since I assume it's hard to sell the same clique when it's just a creepypasta or a fake story on the Internet.
If you lurk enough in the "scary internet" sphere you realize how most of these stories are just fake. First one that comes to mind is actually Nexpos worlds.com video or pretty much entire ScareTheaters backlog. Those are like prime examples of content that's just overall exadurated for shock value. That's why I assume most of them do IRL stuff nowadays.

Posting this one not because of the dumb Jeff the Killer stuff, but because it's got some very interesting lost media I haven't seen other videos talk about. More specifically, footage of a biohazard clean-up in an abandoned supermarket.

Apparently, the family who owned the place went bankrupt, and just hightailed it out of there while leaving everything in the store untouched.

Yes, everything.

Naturally, it became a massive health hazard that had to be cleaned up the government, and the footage of that happening was thought to either not exist, or be lost forever until clips of it randomly appeared in an episode of Life After People.

Surprised this wasn't posted yet, but Nightmind finally made a decent video after so long that isn't just a recap of some twitch stream he hosted

I was so disappointed with this collab. I thought it would be a scripted deep dive into stuff, but then it became "Woah look at me and my friend doing real life ghosthunting in this creepy place, so scary!"

So, I found this channel on my YT recommendeds, and it is surprisingly good.

Probably doesn't fall under the usual category. But Nexpo did similar stories and presentations in the past.

NExpo isn't non-binary, what the fuck are you calling him by they/them?

Imagine your kid goes missing and then a hack writer comes along and exploits your family tragedy to sell his Bigfoot books
