2. He says it's "unprecedented and absurd" not to have a timeframe for Ukraine's membership
3. "Uncertainty is weakness," he adds. "And I will openly discuss this at the summit"
4. Earlier, Nato boss Jens Stoltenberg insisted Ukraine would get "a clear message, a positive message" on membership
5. Membership can take decades to achieve, but Ukraine wants a much quicker timeline
6. Nato offers collective security, as countries are obliged to defend fellow members that come under attack
