Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Imagine dying in some really dreadful way and ontop of that people find the YT or TV retelling of it "boring".
That seems like it's more the fault of the story teller than the story itself.

Imagine your kid goes missing and then a hack writer comes along and exploits your family tragedy to sell his Bigfoot books
That's the true crime industry in a nut shell. Documentaries, move adaptations, books, youtube videos, and even the news its self is ment to exploit tragedy for profit. Even with the best of intentions it is still a job to make money at the end of the day.

Honestly the worst I have seen in terms of tasteless exploit is making someones dead (possibly murdered) daughter a plot point/love intrest in a video game like Elisa Lam in YIIK.

Many of the Missing 411 cases seem to be sensationalized. The writer of the books has also been accused of lying about his own research, fabricating false evidence, and hiding evidence to mystify cases.

There's a pretty good video on the Dennis Martin cases which according to the Missing 411 narrative involves one or more "feral humans." One of the rangers who was assigned to the case confirms that there was a "wild man" in the area, but is very clear that he was human and harmless. The family father that is reported to have seen a "wild man" carrying something was interviewed even though the Missing 411 writer claimed he had died. The man claims that he saw a suspicious man leaving the park, but didn't see him carry anything.

Paulides is a gigaboomer grifter. I was interested in his cases pretty big back in 2015 through about 2017, but over time as he did more interviews with podcasts and shows like WhereDidTheRoadGo and Art Bell, his stories about how he even came to this subject became less and less consistent. Hell, his story of asking for the "list of missing persons" from national parks costing over $1m is just ridiculous even on paper.

Come to find out he was apparently let go from the police force back in the 80s for doing weird shit like using his professional letterhead as a cop to soliciting autographs from celebrities and sell them to people, forging checks etc.

Some of the cases he covers, like the Dennis Martin case for example, are legitimately interesting on their own merits but he cannot help tainting them with the hint of possible bigfoot bullshit and that now just fucks it all up for me. The DeOrr case really is depressing. When you actually read into what happened it's glaringly obvious the parents were either involved or both know who is in their sons disappearance and death. There's nothing paranormal about it. But that's the angle he kept trying to run.

In his latest movie, he revisits that case with the sheriff for like 30 seconds and it's pretty telling what professional people think of him now, because the sheriff's answers are like one word responses and he clearly doesn't want to even to talk to David lol. He's also grifting the current UFO/UAP shit going on and suggesting these missing people may actually all be abductees now.

Imagine dying and a youtuber is purposely vague about the details so he or she can make his profits. Reminds me of what this one person said in a video I saw that was an iceberg. This is paraphrased but sadly damn near exactly what they actually said:

"He was unalived and ese'd. Yikes. Now I'm a privileged White Woman so it's not really my place to judge if this african ritual where they purposely make Women fat and unhealthy is wrong but damn honey, like, comment and subscribe!"

Not everyone can be a non pc king like king-gtgtgtgt-ghettoasmr

Unfortunately, many people want those "mysteries" or paranormal elements. His books have sold extremely well and some documentaries/movies have been made. The victims have just become props in his paranormal fanfics that are now more famous than the real stories.

I'm embarrassed to say that I was around when it started back in 2012. Paulides went on Coast to Coast to promote his first Missing 411 book, and the interviews were so popular that he kept being invited on 3 or 4 times in just a month. It was also very big on 4chan which is how I heard about it. Back then he downplayed the paranormal angle somewhat and just speculated that "something" took the people.

Oh, and you will never guess who hosted all the Coast to Coast shows he appeared on... George Knapp, the man most famous for breaking the Bob Lazar story, which is also a giant paranormal/UFO grift.

One of the three men featured in the latest Missing 411 documentary about UFO abductions was actually found just two weeks before the documentary was released. If I remember correctly they still kept his story in the documentary. They really don't give a shit.

Hilarious how urbanspook made people chimp out over using ideas that are actually scary and horrifying instead of using windows movie maker effects over a person with a long face

Are people actually offended by this? I'd be down to hire that urbanspook guy for album covers or some shit. His artwork is actually pretty good.

I remember I had some zoomers telling me to change my username and you know that's gonna be on the horizon for that guy too because the "spook" part of the name apparently makes people's minds immediately go to the racial slur, not, you know, a ghost.

I genuinely don't really understand people, I think I'm becoming a boomer.

people hate it for being "exploitative" IE having disturbing topics such as rape, child murder, etc as topics for videos.

The Wendigoon video on the Yuba 5 really makes the Nexpo video look like absolute shit in contrast.

Wendigoon really wanted to sell the alternative version but even after hearing all of it that the schizophrenic guy had a psicotic episode and drove them all to their deaths in a fit of paranoia still seems like the most likely scenario.

OOOooooOOoooOOOoohh...... child support.... oooOOOOoooo.....

@LinkinParkxNaruto[AMV] i sincerely believe that too
the biggest problem i have with the alternate theory is that this guy was absolutely batshit crazy
as soon as he took skitz meds, he completely calmed down and became a good citizen who just wanted to help and live his life
that sounds good but its not, it means hes legitimately mentally ill and NEEDS medication for the safety of those around him
when Wendigoon kept talking i was listening but all i could remember was how fucking crazy he was before he took medication

Its hard to assimilate when someone can be lovely most of the time and then turn to absolutely terrifying in the blink of an eye but thats what psychosis does. Its why mental illness is so heartbreaking.

I still think the best thing UrbanSpook did was make Alex Kister (Mandela Catalogue creator) shit his pants over his content. Alex got offended by UrbanSpook using messed up things, people pointed out he used suicide for Mandela and apologised for it and just remade episode 1 without the suicide. UrbanSpook so powerful he changed the Mandela videos so there's no more kys talk.

Wendi was one of those people. He did a stream a few months back and did cover urban spooks, but thought that the sexual abuse and doing things to children was too much and was tasteless.

Also he figures out how to use <> to go frame by frame in youtube videos after chat told him.

I also agree that this is most likely what happened.

I also think him caring for the other guy in the trailer, and writing all that stuff down was him having moments of clarity, and him trying to fight for those moments.

Who’s to say Bigfoot didn’t eat a child did you see him? 🤔
Anyone that still believes in Bigfoot is a fucking soft brain retard. All big foot is an ever was was a bunch of guys wearing ghillie suits prancing around the woods to try to keep the Legend alive there hasn't been any proof other than doctored up evidence and footage to make a case against.

We would have found him already with our current technology.

Yup. Never understand why people pretend to be scared of wendigos all the time too. I'm so sick of hearing about that shit. OHH MY GOD IM SO SCARED TO GO IN THE WOODS MY FRIEND SAW A WENDIGO THERE IM LITERALLY TRAUMATIZED. Its just another stupid trend that gen z will stop caring about in a few months. I get so annoyed when youtubers bring them up every fucking chance they get.

Reminds me of that Futurama episode where some forest ranger is super into Bigfoot and Bender tricks him into thinking he just missed seeing Bigfoot walk by.

Bender then tells the ranger that Bigfoot said "Hey, don't worry, keep looking for me, you're totally not wasting your time" and the guy gets all excited.

Will post clip if I can find it.
