One thing I wonder about is this: If it really is a family tradition to throw parties and bake cake for each other, how come she never did any of those things for any on her relatives?
Because she's disabled and is so weak and in pain she can't even stand long enough to take a shower, duh. Forcing her to stand for hours over a hot oven is abusive and ablest.

(Also, would you accept any food made in her house given her husband's fingernails and their general overwhelming smell of cat piss and unwashed flesh? Makes my stomach turn just thinking about it.)

The real miracle is that their families didn't completely cut ties long ago. And how can you pull this sort of shit off and not immediately die from embarrassment?
From my admittedly limited understanding, Southern culture is about family unity, generosity and hospitality. Usually that's a great positive, but it does let toxic parasites like Polissa attach themselves to the family and drain their blood indefinitely.

The last time I had a birthday that was a big round number, I organised my own party and invited my friends and family myself. I read somewhere that one of the rites of passage to genuine adulthood is when you no longer need to ask others for their hospitality, but have got your shit together enough that you can extend your hospitality to others instead. I think there's a lot of truth to that, because Polissa fails that test completely. All the more shameful that she grew up in a culture where that is seen as particularly important.

The last time I felt my family owed me a birthday party I think I was about 12.

Was about to say, even my fucking goblin doesn't want big parties anymore - goblin recently entered the teenage years of assholery.

Pissa is less mature than a teenage goblin.

And I'm reflecting on my last birthday - I made myself a batch of cupcakes and was told to get the fuck out of the kitchen so others could do the dishes. My chores got done by the others in this household. It was the greatest birthday ever.

(Mostly) quick dump of the past two days so far (that haven't involved funeral/birthday dinners)

Joh has been mowing the lawn and cleaning a car port

(Yes, he posted on both about cleaning Mamaw's carport on both accounts)

Joh also posted a picture of Lurch (@glass_houses, Supernatural tat confirmed!)

And speaking of cats, Polissa offered for someone to take her unspayed ones on Facebook. Wonder who is forcing her to give them up.

For those trying to keep track: Matilda is Lurch's mother, Penelope is the one that recently miscarried, and to be honest, I know next to nothing about Sabrina since Polissa focuses more on the Addams Family named kitties.

Josh must have given her an ultimatum, huh?
Or her family did if she's been whining about wanting to move in to their house to escape El Casa Trompeta. Especially as it's the un-neutered ones, you don't want them calling or marking their territory, I can see her folks insisting on her reducing the herd. Though if I were her folks I'd just tell her to get bent.

Polissa is mentally a child. It's obvious not only in the way she talks about her family, but also in her political ideas. She expects the state to provide her a UBI that will let her live in luxury, but literally the second her husband earns money it's "taxation is theft." She can't imagine a situation where she'd be expected to contribute in any way: not financially, not socially. She won't even keep her own house clean.

Getting on disability was catastrophic for her development as an adult. If she'd been forced to work-- which she's clearly physically capable of doing-- she might have learned responsibility, cooperation, and planning. As it is she will languish like this until she dies prematurely from a myriad of fat people's diseases. It may be the only funeral attends that she doesn't ruin with her histrionics.

The clouds in the back remind me of the smoke from the Twin Towers. Feel free to use that as an idea.
I fucking hate you for putting this idea in my head.

Hey, Pissa! We made it worth at least $149.00. I call it "NYC from Jersey City, Autism Version"

Looking forward to those of you who will help her finish this piece.

Polissa also posted this on her Twitter, albeit without a price tag:

"not sooths the soul like painting"

Quick someone stick that crab (I’m sure she did a crab) and beach cat on!

Any of her work can be easily improved by adding Beach Cat to it. And yes, there was a crab in the OG painting.

I fucking hate you for putting this idea in my head.

This is Beach Cat tier. Thanks for the ugly laugh.

I sincerely hope Lurch is at least 3 months old since P'issa is trying to get rid of his mother.

Also, this is how you get single cat syndrome; you raise kittens alone without a playmate and they never learn how to socialize. His mother at least would have doubled as a playmate for a few months (or longer, but some moms push the babies away sooner.)

All of your artistic interpretations of P'issa's fail-art truly make this thread bearable :)

Lurch was born in mid May, so he’s only two months old. Another sad thing about Matilda is that she’s one of the only cats that actively wants Polissa’s attention and affection. Occasionally Matilda will photobomb on Polly’s TikToks to get scritches or to bunt her. So she’s not only separating mother and kitten prematurely (if an adoption happens soon), but she’s also trying to get rid of the only cat that actually likes her.

In other news, Polissa has a Threads account

IMG_3734.jpeg

And she is questioning why picking up litter is so bad (if it possibly involves human trafficking)

I don’t even know if that’s true, but interesting that she replied about how patriotic it was to pick up trash in WWII when she hates America with a burning passion.

I know it's Polissa we're talking about, but I'm still aghast she has 3 unspayed cats. I'm sure there are plenty of tomcats roaming the vicinity. Her situation will go from bad to worse in a hurry if she doesn't do something. Which she won't. She admitted it was only something like $25 for a spay at a local rabies clinic. She had those cats before the Twitter cat ladies turned on her and doubtless could've gotten it funded. But no, let's beg for uterus coloring books.

On the other hand, giving away animals for free isn't the best idea either. She doesn't have enough friends or social connections to properly vet people. Normally I'd say anything would be better than that trailer, but I just got done with the Tim Win thread. If you know, you know.

Just a shitty (and entirely preventable) situation all around.

Giving animals away for free is /never/ a good idea, especially in the south. Unfortunately there are people who illegally fight dogs and will snatch up free animals to train their canines. This is why every person in the region I'm in right now adamantly insists that those looking to rehome animals charge at least a minimal fee.
