I feel like the only person who thinks Suicide Squad is hilariously bad and can't wait to see it. I mean, you gotta lack self awareness to not realize it's basically Hot Topic: The Movie.
Jared Leto really nailed the 'Nott Important' dramatis persona the Joker is so well known for having. Could have told me he was an actual crack fiend and would have fooled me

I don't get why people even care. So people don't like the same shit you like? Boohoo. Get over it. Why does everything you like have to have a good review? I like olives, rest of my family fucking hates them with a passion. Do I care? No because that means more olives for me at holiday dinners.

Rotten Tomato isn't even a movie reviewer site, it's literally a site that collects reviews from all over. So what the fuck is taking it down going to do?

Because they want the movie to do well so there will be sequels. I knew the moment they gave a role to Will Smith, it was going to suck . Casting Will Smith as Deadshot was all the proof I needed that the casting director literally gave no shit about whether the actors matched the comic character's persona

In a way we are except DC's already lost and is pretending to even stand a chance.

I suppose, but that was announced since Zack Snyder was still let to direct JL. Hell, he should have been out of WB good graces after Watchmen.

But dunno, i tend to separate DC/Marvel editorials from their Hollywood/TV projects to sperg about it, as even comic forums got tired to bitch about it (specially since both have declined comic wise in recent years)

Huh, I might be in the minority but I thought the Watchmen film adaption was decent enough - kinda missed the plant monster though, that shit was so fucking whack in the book the nuclear blasting it was replaced by pales in comparison.

But I digress, he should have been let go after Superman Returns. And then again after BvS.

That is a big story fuck up since the whole comic was building this.

Another shitty DC film? Oh, lord, say it ain't so! I don't even think people have a right to get mad about it anymore, it'd be like being angry at the changing of the seasons.

Westberos changing seasons, given this is the third film in the Cinematic universe shit against Marvel 3 films for year.

Hmm, guess I'll have to re-read the book then - thought the plant monster was just allegory for nuclear war or something, not the actual plot of the book.

Remember the whole subplot about the pirate comic and the missing artist? Look what he was drawing before he and his lover got killed.

Same. Will Smith refuses to play anything but Sad Will Smith and Cool Will Smith. Deadshot, a suicidal marksman with no empathy after he accidentally killed his brother and purposely cripples his mother after her plot which resulted in his son being raped and murdered by a pedo is neither Sad Will Smith or Cool Will Smith. Will Smith was chosen because Will Smith, and for some reason they couldn't be fucked to cast him as Rick Flag or Bronze Tiger or something.

I thought it was a half decent movie and really only paled to shittiness by comparison to the original. But nobody has done a really good adaptation of anything by Alan Moore really. Similarly, V for Vendetta was a reasonably good popcorn movie, but nowhere near the level of the original, plus it gave us that stupid mask.

I'm more of a Marvel guy than a DC guy, but I like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow and would love to see a DC cinematic universe that can rival Marvel's and thought this film could have been good. Sadly, it looks like I'll have to make do with the MCU for now (which I love but admit is not perfect and needs to shore up some of their weak spots IMO). Ah well, bad movies are a dime a dozen, and there's plenty of other shit to look forward to.

Also, I must say the discourse around superhero films right now is total shit: 99% of discussions turn into a DC vs Marvel debate.

I agree with your sentiment, but I have to admit a certain grudging respect for the ability to cut out good parts while trying to boil down an idea. It's not easy for anyone to strip functional parts off of their pet project, and I can't imagine the turmoil artists must go through seeing a stranger disassemble their work for an unrelated production. At the risk of getting too autistic, the Jurassic Park novel had a very interesting element completely torn apart even though it was tied to the central plot. (In the books Dr Grant realized how the dinosaurs were changing gender when he found a baby raptor using chameleon camouflage, which is a killer sick idea I'd pay money to see, but didn't fit the flow of the film.)

Sometimes the hardest thing you can do is giving up something you love so something you love more can thrive. Sophie's Choice....

It doesn't help that the people involved in the films like act as fanboys. There was any need Ayer to said 'FUCK MARVEL' in the press screening?

New When women were cosplaying as Harley Quinn a year before the movie even came out, I knew it was going to suck.
Generally I've found overexposure and media saturation to mean that the movie has very little to actually offer anyone.

But Harley has appeared in media since the animated series.
