LMAO will do.Dude, try it if you have the chance. Virtually every food is worth trying at least once, especially "strange" food. I would've never discovered that casu marzu and caglio di capretto are actually delicious otherwise.
Maybe give raw cornstarch a skip, though
Yeah, i've never seen anything besides olive oil in the average sardinian household, except maybe some vegetable oil for deep-frying.
And same, I think the only times i've used butter in the kitchen is to butter molds and very rarely on toast. Sunflower oil for baking but even then most people I know have also used olive oil for that plenty of times. 'Tis the tradition...
On the topic of deep frying, there's this guy that owns a churro shop whose tiktoks got super viral a couple of months ago because he filmed his process of frying the churros and the oil he uses isn't the usual extra virgin olive oil but instead orujo olive oil, which has a way darker color. people started messing with him and jokingly insisting that it was dirty motor oil.
He got really angry and made a lot of videos about the comments, then spent money to film a video of him going to the place where the oil itself was made and receiving a tour. good times
