Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

If we are talking next console, I want to throw my hat in the ring and say Nintendo will make the Nintendo Dual Switch and come full circle. Think about it, a new Switch with slightly better hardware where the gimmick is that you get a lesser powered touch screen add on to connect to the bottom in portable then remove for home play. It is a Wii U gamepad, but the controller part is detachable like Joycons are now. This way, Arlo can play his latest Pikmin with gameplay on the TV, a small portable with a map and options on the side, and a controller in hand. It is a win-win. This also gives Nintendo the ability to bring back DS/3DS games and any remaining Wii U titles.
Or maybe the screen will slide up and reveal a second screen, like a T-Moblie Sidekick?

I think Nintendo is going to play ot relatively safe. They'll basically just make a stronger Switch but with a basic, cheap, easy to understand, unintrusive gimmick. Nothing crazy like the GamePad. They might dabble in VR.

They might dabble in VR
If so, then they will have come full circle

What you are seeing isn't power, its TLC and dev familiarity with the architecture. Just as Mario Galaxy looked great but was built on an Xbox one level system that Witcher downport looks good (usually) but nowhere near as good as the PS4 version with added chugginess, looooooong load times and most importantly, lots and lots of trickery to get it to the only halfway gimped state it is at.
Who fucking cares?

PS3 Pro/PS4 Lite, whatever. It's somewhere between them, unless you're saying it's weaker than PS3, which I would find hard to believe.

Generally speaking when Nintendo makes hardware, they usually don’t shoot for high end CPUs or APUs. Nintendo’s Switch utilizes what essentially amounts to cell phone hardware (literally off the shelf) Nvidia Tegra X1

The Switch Deux will continue this trend, given Nintendo’s partnership with Nvidia. I also heard that Nintendo will be working with Japanese firm Sharp to manufacture its screens, so a Switch Deux will be arriving eventually.

Also Nintendo will continue on with the Hybrid model. Why? Because a decade ago Nintendo fused its home console and portable console divisions into one and they found the right formula to generate revenue. Hell they even call their future console the NX 2.0

The person who posted this is very fucking stupid. They are black, so what do you expect?
Does this guy go around showing people his achievement score or something? "Nothing to show for it" is just baffling to me. It's video games, unless you're competing in The International or something, you're not gonna have anything to show off when it's all said and done either way.

BOTW literally gives you a giant steaming turd for collecting all the Korok seeds. I don't think Nintendo cares about achievements.

...though the Wii U did have stickers you could unlock.

Gex Trilogy Collection Announced For Nintendo Switch

Revealed during the Limited Run Games Showcase

Way back in 2021, Square Enix was spotted filing a trademark for the forgotten '90s platforming mascot Gex. Now, today during the Limited Run Games Showcase for 2023, dreams have come true, with the publisher announcing the return of the anthropomorphic gecko. It's not one or two, but three games in a trilogy collection for the Switch and multiple other platforms.

This collection will include Gex (1995), Gex: Enter the Gecko (1998), and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko (1999) and is running on Limited Run's Carbon Engine - "a development tool that allows legacy content to be ported to modern platforms". There's no release date, details, or price yet, but when we get an update we'll let you know.

As previously mentioned in our trademark post, the Gex games were originally developed by Crystal Dynamics - the team better known in recent times for the Tomb Raider series and Marvel's Avengers. In the 1990s, Gex games were available back in the day on Nintendo platforms like N64 and Game Boy Color.

The N64 port of Enter the Gecko was the first video game I ever played, so to see the Gex games get ported to modern consoles makes me very happy.

Tomba! is also getting ported to Switch:

I bought the Front Mission remake and Sonic Origins for Switch. Both physical copies. I was never a big Sonic fan. I was always more of a Mario kid. I never liked Sonic games as much. But I had every Sonic game on the Genesis back in the 90's. Sonic 1 2 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. It's funny because I don't remember how I got them. I just had them. But I remember getting Super Mario All Stars and Yoshi's island. I even have all the Sonic games as ROM's for emulators.

The other games I do this with is are the old 2D Final Fantasy games from the 90's. If I see them I buy them. Especially 4 and 6 because that's what I played when I was in my early teens in the 90's. I was annoyed because I wanted a physical copy of the pixel remaster for Switch. Square did this stupid limited release thing and people bought them all before I could get one. I refused to buy one from a scalper.
