Biden Orders Selected Reserve and Certain Members of the Individual Ready Reserve of the Armed Forces to Active Duty - Nice DD-214, be a shame if someone NEGATED IT!

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility. In furtherance of this operation, under the stated authority, I hereby authorize the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Navy, under their respective jurisdictions, to order to active duty any units, and any individual members not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit of the Selected Reserve, or any member in the Individual Ready Reserve mobilization category and designated as essential under regulations prescribed by the Secretary concerned, not to exceed 3,000 total members at any one time, of whom not more than 450 may be members of the Individual Ready Reserve, as they deem necessary, and to terminate the service of those units and members ordered to active duty.

This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR.

THE WHITE HOUSE,
July 13, 2023.

WIKIPEDIA
Operation Atlantic Resolve, though not a "named" operation, refers to military activities in response to Russian operations in Ukraine, mainly the War in Donbass. It was funded under the European Deterrence Initiative. In the wake of Russia's 2014 intervention in Ukraine, the U.S. and the U.K. took several immediate steps to enhance the deterrence posture along the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including augmenting the air, ground and naval presence in the region, and enhancing previously scheduled exercises.[1]

The US described the activities as taking measures to enhance NATO military plans and defense capabilities and maintaining a persistent presence in Central Europe and Eastern Europe.[2] Atlantic Resolve rotations are overseen by a regionally aligned headquarters there.[3][4]

US Army Europe
Since April 2014, U.S. Army Europe and Africa has led the Department of Defense's Atlantic Resolve land efforts. Atlantic Resolve provides rotational deployments of combat-credible forces to Europe to show our commitment to NATO while building readiness, increasing interoperability and enhancing the bonds between ally and partner militaries.
As of Nov. 2021, the newly reactivated V Corps has assumed command and control of all Atlantic Resolve rotational forces.
(So, they reactivated V Corps. Here's the thing about V Corps. It's the only authorized European unit for fucking NUKES)

Gee, Joe, whatcha need 3 Divisions for?

Pardon me while I go to the REEEEING DOME.

What the fuck do we need 3000 more troops for when we aren't fighting?
In a shooting war with Russia, only 3,000 troops wouldn't really be enough to make a difference. IIRC some general in the US said these people are going to jobs that could be filled by active people; it's almost likely filling slots active duty can't fill. This Atlantic thing isn't anything new; it started in 2014 around the time Crimea was annexed. If it was really gonna pop off between NATO and Russia, I'd wager Uncle Sam would send WAY more than 3,000.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, wouldn't you be sending in active duty personnel and not the backup team if something was really going down while there's no war on? Funnily enough, all the dooming about conscription in this thread, and there is no mention of Selective Service in the article. I don't doubt it could go there given the clownshow running the US government, but just take it one day at a time.

lol calm down

Some of the early Bakelite foregrips liked to shatter when hit, especially in bayonet training. They're the easiest thing to cheap out on and still have a working rifle, after all.
You're comparing something from the 60s to rifles today? They did away with those triangle handguards in like 1983 with the adoption of the M16A2, I would be shocked if anyone, even Natty Gs, got issued one with those handguards within the past 20 years.

I was just assuming they carried over the same level of QC to the modern grips because Uncle Sam is cheap like that.

Consider it fair warning. I'm sure everyone thought the Triple Entente was no big deal either but for a long time after 1918 they knew better.

Just start planning now as opposed to after the MSM airs the "Russia bad we must fight them" speech by whatever clown they install in the White House.

What's going on in Serbia. They're banning the export of their junk AK's for a month just in case of a good ol fashioned slapfight with Kosovo happens. Is this what the sudden deployment could be for? "hey, quit fucking around or my mutts finna dick down bof'yal's'is real good."

I was pondering on buying an AK for cheap but now I don't want to since a probably explosive pos is going to triple in price because "I know what I got".

Is it this news, or does shit like that happen very commonly?

more news that probably explains the export ban and reasoning to activate a bunch of fatty boombalatys. Serbia stronk 2: electric boogaloo.
US calls on Kosovo, Serbia to accept plan on Tensions' Resolution

Shit, glad I got my M77 when I did.

I know it's fun to imagine how you'd totally insult and/or frag whatever woke mutant you think will draft you, but realistically, they'd just offer a ton of benefits for joining the military and get young men to go fight and kill and die that way, like they've been doing for decades now, no draft needed.
What benefits? A GI Bill to get more indoctrination in universities? A VA that will go out of its way to fuck you over? Shit pay?

With benefits like those, who needs Russians?

Service guarantees citizenship! Would you like to know more?

okay, guys, we need to come up with ways to get ourselves disqualified from service

does simply claiming conscientious objection work these days, or am i going to have to commit petty crimes or some shit.
It is in times like these that I am thankful for my horrendous genetics. I'm not gonna fight for this country, my patriotic spirit died years ago.

I cannot fathom the resentment that I'd carry by being called up to potentially die to preserve the Biden family's illicit income. Fortunately, I'm too old for the draft and don't have prior service that they can use to make it my problem. Sucks for those less fortunate.
I think if the Navy is taking 40 year olds, a draft is probably going to go for 50+. I mean, our age of retirement is 67 now? If they get desperate enough to reinstitute the draft, which they know is political suicide, you should bet your ass you're either getting a rifle or a shovel if you're under 70.
