Wendigoon Thread

Dont know guys
The part about gary writing self affirmation in the cabin kinda got to me.
The man probably realized and felt his brain was going bad at a very critical time and the fact that he kept up this small ritual of his to be there for his remaining friend after he may or may not have caused the death of three others feels harrowing.
Schizophrenia is a tragic fucking illness. When Gary had it under control, he sounded like a solid dude. But before that, an absolute menace to society and himself.
I also don't buy that he killed the boys, that honestly sounds like sensationalism that got absorbed into the 'facts'.

Gary's body never being found would suggest he must've managed to make it off the mountain or that he died there but the police never bothered to search further past where they found his stuff (though someone would've found it by now if he was still in those woods). Given he once walked a 17-day trek, it's likely possible he ran off in his grief and mania, and could've crossed several counties over or entered into another state before keeling over in the woods. That's honestly pretty sad that he went in such a lonely manner.

Woods big, people small. And edible.

It would be cool if Bigfoot were out there kidnapping people for his harem, but I suspect the answer to a lot of these mysteries is that dead people are harder to find than we assume. You ever drop a driver bit in the grass and even though you know it's there and you know about the square foot it landed in, hands-and-knees it's lost forever? Imagine a Torx bit that can curl up in a ball, and eventually decomposes.

Wendigoon related to Gary or something? Whole point of the video was just to rehabilitate his character when it's pretty obvious he killed everyone, either Vorhees-style or just by leading them to their deaths in the cold for the lulz. It became obvious when Chubby Mac finally mentioned late in the vid that the violent home invader/woman molester/child terrifier regularly told his sister he would die by disappearing into the mountains with a group of boys.

That would make a pretty kickass horror film tbh. The only monster is you and the elements and you need to babysit a autistic man slowly dying to infection.

Really Gary's body disappearance is the biggest question mark. Like he could be dead in some unknown forest or just be some crazy hobo on the street.

I mean yeah
If you ignore everythint else it makes sense.
Retard.

The paranoid-schizophrenic-on-first-gen-psych-med-withdrawal aspect would only help the horror vibe.

That helps explain some of Gary's actions after the car stopped, too. He saw himself as the dedicated protector of his gentle 'tard herd, and he'd already had his run-ins with authority. Now everyone's dead except for the one guy who's slowly and messily dying, and as the brains of the group, it's all his fault.

Losing his grasp on reality, even if they weren't hiding from a drug dealer or Sasquatch, he knows that the cops and the rangers are the enemy and will blame him for all of this. Watching gangrene advance is scary when they're a patient in a well-lit hospital; all alone in an unlit cabin with no pain medications and it's just you, and you did this, and even if you can save this patient, the rest of the gang is still dead under the snow.

Gary probably was aware that he was the odd man out and some of the families were suspicious of him. Once he was the only survivor, running on guilt and grief, of course he'd run off. After that, it's like they said: he did OK when he was medicated and with support. Best case scenario is he never interacted with the system again and lived anonymously as an unmedicated homeless John Doe in an urban area for the rest of his life.

Wendi did a stream watching all the "newer" Monument Mythos shit on his second channel, if anyone cares.

I couldn't get through more than an hour before I had to tap. I don't get WTF he see's in this garbage.
Last I heard, the Anti Dean Device D-whatever League caused a giant eldritch George Washington to wake from his slumber underneath the United States, cracking the planet open and turning everyone into white fuzzies which fled into another universe and another series.

So, what's new?

That's around the point I tapped out. I remember him pointing out in the new Universe Dean is Vice President and his Vice President (Cliff?) is President and I was just like "Who gives a fuck?"

He BSed with the chat a lot before getting started, which is the only reason I think I stuck around for as long as I did.

Ignore what? Wendi's silly made up theories about what a caring loving person that psychopath really was? There's no evidence he cared for anyone or wrote inspirational notes to himself (and if he did that doesn't mean he was in his right mind.) The video began with a story about how he broke into a couple's house on behalf of satan. He was also a hard drug user and a violent psychopath his entire life. Even the families and police believe he was responsible for what happened.

He was also recovering and cared for that group of chaps
He also tended to the wounds of one survivor

He may have snapped later down the line but I dont think he was the original catalyst for the event
Or at least not directly.

Haven't watched the video yet, but does he go into the theory that the boys were forced out there by the town bully? IDK how plausible it is, all of the stuff about it seems to be hearsay from amateur investigators who claim to have talked to the families decades after the fact.

While I do think Wendi was being a bit dramatic with the whole 'scariest disappearance ever' shtick, that was easily the best video I've personally seen on the Yuba Boys.
I'm of the opinion that it was the scariest to him personally because he could see a world where something happens and he easily also disappears in the mountains. That said I live on the coast and didn't find what happened particularly disturbing.

Magic Spoon was on clearance at the actual store and I bought some out of curiosity. It's ...okay, but I would definitely not pay $10 for a box, and am kind of disappointed that I paid $4.

Imagine you made Cheetos foam out of whey, in Cheerios toroids, and then sprayed flavor glaze on the top of them. Eating them, the paste cemented itself into my molars. It's not anywhere near real junk food carb binge cereal, although with diet restrictions come lower standards; the "vegan cheese" phenomenon.

Seems like a more honest sponsorship than vitamin powder, though.

yeah. hearing that really hit me. it's such a horrible mental image. it's so fucking sad, man, so helpless. the next day after i watched the video, i found myself thinking about it a lot. poor fucking guy.
the worst part to me is how happy they all must have been, just before it all went wrong. it must've been one of the happiest days of their lives. i don't think Gary killed em, but then again i'm a softie
RIP fellas

When you're on keto and sugary cereals mock you with their cartoon nostalgia, Magic Spoon is a blessing. Obviously when you compare it to actual cereal the taste and texture doesn't come close, but compared to other KETO foods it's great. One of the few products I've tried before seeing sponsorships pop up on jewtube and something I would still go back to (as a treat, price is ridiculous) were I still doing keto.
