"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

IIRC, a lot of these have secondary markets showing in churches and selling DVDs and stuff to them. Some of them started out just targeting this but then when Passion of the Christ was a blockbuster some of them were like "I wonder..." and they don't even show in the big progressive markets outside of doing premieres and stuff just for PR purposes. There's been some efforts by opponents to target some of the large chains like AMC because they'll show these in Red States or wherever and bigotry shouldn't be allowed anywhere. (Which is of course the kind of thing China does to get Hollywood to show what they want.)
I'm just fascinated by the fact that he isn't playing by normal Hollywood rules and his movies still end up in real theaters near me. It seems rare because I can't think of anyone else independent that does it.

I think the normal studio avenues rejected a bunch of these in the past and they setup their own little ecosystem for it to bypass them. Now the larger studios are more open to these to get shares of them but I would imagine they don't want to have to deal with them now they're free and able to do their own thing. Some of these productions do online fundraisers and raise a surprising amount of money. There's also a lot of scammers running around the Christian film industry.

If @Null is going to talk about the gay BBC paedophile Huw Edwards on Friday's show, I strongly recommend watching the "satirical" broadcast TV series Brass Eye's special episode called Paedogeddon (archive) that aired back in 2001. It is a bizarre view into what powerful people think about paedophilia, and it also starred many celebrities (archive). For reference though, it was not a BBC production.

It has a strange reputation among journalists too. Just searching for the episode online returns a number of articles from influential publications praising it, such as The Atlantic (WayBack Machine, archive.ph, Ghost Archive), The Guardian (WayBack Machine, archive.ph, Ghost Archive), and The AV Club (WayBack Machine, archive.ph, Ghost Archive). They all mostly dismiss the criticism of the episode, framing the public concern about paedophiles as irrational, accusing audiences of being too dumb to realise it's satire, and condescendingly declaring media reporting these stories as the real villains. The press may sensationalise, but the show and its supporters use that as a means to diminish the seriousness of the paedo problem. In 2009, someone even wrote an academic paper (attached to post, WayBack Machine, archive.ph, Ghost Archive mirror failed) with many of the same talking points.

Here's a local archive of the episode. It's very weird to watch, especially now. And keep in mind this aired over a year after the South Park episode Cartman Joins NAMBLA, which is an actually funny satire of paedophilia.

Prominent Rekieta foe, Two Tonne Tewson claimed credit for fucking up Mr Comer in court, thus achieving something in law, far more notable than little Nicky could ever dream of doing.

Yet little Nicky always claimed she was an idiot who could not grasp his sophisticated Legal takes.

Is it just me or did they mispell his name on the marriage certificate
"Hoh hoh, watu isu your namu whuite manu?"
"Geno Samuel"
"hoh hoh I write down ok!" *CHOKO GAMUEL*

It's like if they got married in an English speaking country and they just wrote "ching chong bing bong" as his wife's name. lmfao

@Console Chris Morris is not nearly as clever as he thinks he is. Coincidentally, I stumbled on this interview a couple of days ago, about a film of his, with John Snow, on Channel 4 news. The whole point was he'd discovered the FBI was grooming people into commiting terrorist acts.
Stupid fucker was so near, and yet, so far with his overall assessment of the situation it was mind boggling. Those poor minorities. Why doesn't the FBI deal with the true threat, white supremacists.

White pill, local seal makes his way into 2007 videogame and it's the best update ever.

Choko is the wife, his name is on the next line as Geno Gamuel which still appears to be misspelled on the last name. She's also four years older than him if I'm reading it right and she would be a Christmas Cake.

except this is hilarious and is a genuine introspection into the br*Tish mindset and how they accuse everyone of being pedophiles constantly.

The Americans are known for the racism purity spiral, the British are known for the pedophilia purity spiral.

Witch hunting never died, the targets just changed.
