There are a couple of odd pronunciations Chantal does (e.g., booger, mustache, abhor), which I've wondered about. Two hypotheses:

1. There are words she's seen written but hasn't heard pronounced, so she does her best (abhor might be an example of this, though not so much the others)

2. She applies her (limited) classroom French pronunciation to sound 'exotic' or unique (e.g., mustache, which owes more to Angelica Houston's Morticia Addams than anything else - and booger as BOO-ger) -- see also croissant, poutine

I think (2) might also account for her pronunciation of immoral as ee-MOR-ul. The initial vowel is French, but the stress on the second syllable is English (in French, the stress falls on the third syllable: ee-mor-AL), so her pronunciation just sounds... like she doesn't know how to pronounce the word in either language.

I thought she might try to mimic Salah more, but I think Arabic might be too challenging for her (even certain sounds that occur in French, which as pointed out in the thread, she struggles with, like the uvular fricative).

3. At some point in her life, she mispronounced something, and someone thought it was cute, and she's been doing it ever since, without realizing what may be charming in a child is off-putting in an adult (e.g., in the last stream, she claims her I seen construction is deliberate, taken from Pee Wee Herman).

Unrelated to the previous screenshot, but I'm watching the rage from yesterday through FFG and while I have no idea where Chantal got HP Lovecraft into her head to randomly name drop (I wouldn't be surprised if someone said she looked like a lovecraftian monster…

Also unrelated: I was watching the 2009 series “Life After People” which estimates what happens to the planet days, weeks, then millions of years after humans cease to exist. It’s fascinating to think about what happens to what’s here after we’re gone. In one scene many hundreds of years after humans, I had a mental image of Chantal standing in the midst of long-decayed cities, repeatedly screaming one thing:
“I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO TAKE HER TO THE VET THE NEXT DAY!”

Since Chantal likes to bring up inbreeding, I thought it could be helpful to quickly review some statistics in regards to inbreeding by country and state. The USA has a very low level of inbreeding, so low it's difficult to gather statistics for it but it's estimated to be somewhere between 0.1 to 0.2%. Funnily enough, Canada has more inbreeding than America but the difference is small. Another thing is that the demographic with the highest rate of inbreeding are the natives. But things get more interesting when we look at the middle east.

Exact data isn't always easy but there's a 2016 report in The Economist that estimates that countries like Egypt are inbreed at about 40% and the gulf states (where we include Kuwait) would be significantly higher. The paper Consanguinity and reproductive health among Arabs (2009) Measures Kuwait's consanguinity rate (marriage to blood relatives) to be 22.5-64.3 and Syria's at 30-3-39.8, which are both very very high.

Why is the Arab world so inbreed and not western countries? Well in ancient Rome anything bellow 4th relatives were banned from marriage and in the 9th century the Catholic church increased that to anyone under 7th relatives. So Europe has a pretty long history of banning inbreeding to various degrees and the only other significant historical ban on inbreeding I can think of was in China but they had it around 4th degree.

The Arab world however just didn't have institutions like the Catholic church that forbade it but also because it's essentially condoned in the Qur’an where by example Mohamed marries his daughter to his cousin. Human history was very tribal and part of that involved marrying other members of your tribe, which were often fairly closely related to you. It's a relatively recent thing to ban the stuff but it has improved the genetic health of western and east asian societies greatly. Sadly the Arab world just hasn't done this to the same degree and let's not even get started on the statistics for genetic defects in Arab countries.

So to summarise. Hillbilly Americans are relatively not inbreed and roughly half of Arabs are inbreed. Not a good look but that's why I find Chantal so hilarious.

The blob's views that she chooses to share strike me as something that would change depending on the room she is in. There is a sector of Canadian politics that show nationalism for Canada as hatred for America. If she were faced with a mostly American audience, her tune would be different.

America and especially redneck/country culture has usually had a sense of humor about itself. Chantal can not laugh at herself and that is something she has in common with a lot of people in the Middle East. Redneck's can laugh at stereotypes whether there's a germ of truth in there or not. The moment you laugh at a truth about the Middle East, they get very butthurt about it. Chantal hates on people that are far more comfortable in their own skin than she is.

But things get more interesting when we look at the middle east.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I watched a news report sometime last year about the problems that inbreeding has created among Middle Eastern immigrant populations in Britain. They tend to marry within their extended families, especially to first cousins. Part of it is due to the limited pool of eligible partners within their communities, but it's also an economic decision, made in order to keep resources within close family,

They've been doing this for multiple generations now. But there's an increasing number of children being born into these marriages that suffer from various birth defects, producing some severe physical and developmental disabilities. Caring for them is a strain on the NHS, but also on their families, and despite attempts to convince members of these immigrant groups to marry out, to people who are not closely related, they keep doing it. Most of the marriages are arranged, with dowries involved, and the priority is still to keep any wealth the family has within the family, even if that means ending up with the occasional profoundly disabled child.

And the same thing goes on throughout the Middle East, but it's intensified in Britain because there's a smaller pool of potential partners. Back in their home village, there would have been more second and third cousins to choose from, but not in Britain.

That said, I wasn't here when Chantal first got with Salah, and I think it's hilarious that he told her he doesn't like fat women. If the Door Dash account is in his name, and he's the one who paid for the boxed diet meals, then he's obviously trying to curb her eating, and—LOL, good luck with that. The only way that will happen is if he brings no food into the apartment beyond what she's allowed each day. He already controls all of the finances, and she can't leave the apartment if he doesn't let her use the car. He's also got the law and culture on his side—nobody's going to come to her rescue because he'd just be a good Muslim man taking charge of his gluttonous wife. And I totally hope he does it, because raging Chantal is the best Chantal.

It's all so fucking crazy, and we get to watch this shit unfold as it happens. I love it.

3. Jealousy. Chantal can't have kids, so your kids are prostitutes. Chantal can't rent an apartment in her own name, so your apartment is run-down and dirty. Chantal can't get a man to be affectionate with her in public, so you and your husband (who is not ashamed to be openly affectionate with you) are inbred white trash.

Spoiler: Yaba’s Kids Community Post

Let me clarify some things and put this to rest. I never attacked anyone’s kids. I was commenting on their parenting. No, I don’t have kids but what does that matter? When I saw two individuals making a career out of bullying and fat shaming others online knowing they have young children in the home who are growing up hearing their parents screeching out foul language and insults towards the same person over and over and body shaming them what do you think their attitude will be growing up? What do you think they will think of their parents’ career choice to bully fat women? As a parent you are supposed to be responsible to shape their morals and if they see this behaviour they are going to assume it is OK. It’s not. It’s gross. THAT is what I was calling out. As for saying Sam’s kids are prostitutes I have been following certain drama for a while here and there and saw some things that Sam said toward Yaba’s kids. She called them unfortunate looking and apparently even threatened them. How are you going to allow your kids around someone like that after that? The prostitute comment was a generalisation for sex work. I know I dabbled in OF but never did much with it and part of that was because my family was strongly opposed. Sam was making jokes about her kids overdosing and being into sex work from what I heard. I also saw dms between her and one of her daughters begging her to spend time with her instead of going to Yaba’s to get some. Begging. She chose her love life over her own daughter. These are all public things I saw from people reacting to them and it’s so absurd that just because they have kids we don’t get to comment on what we see. So, no, I didn’t attack kids, I made comments about how messed up it is to raise young children in a household of fat shaming and bullying. Sam actually attacked Yaba’s kids though. Yaba actually attacked Negz’s kids though and called them retards. But all that is OK. I’m so done giving these vile humans anymore energy. I see now that the reading they spend so much time online in gate communities instead of with their families is because of how degenerate they are and at this point their audiences are similar minded.
Also, those attacking Salah for playing a game he didn’t make, go touch grass. So many gamers have videos still up on youtube showing all the sex scenes from GTA. He didn’t make the game, get a life. He will continue to play. Go cry on Twitter.

Summation:

She's pissed off that she can't take back the phrase, "Her children are prostitutes." She's pissed off that she knows how ridiculous she sounds when she tells people that her marriage is no one else's business when SHE PUT UP A FUCKING MARRIAGE CHANNEL. She's pissed off that people can see how transparently phony her Muslim cosplay is.

And of course, her only recourse regarding Salah enjoying the GTA sex scene is that he didn't make it himself. As in, he didn't program the game himself, so according to Kuwaiti law, what he did was legally above board.

Oh. Of course. I didn't realize that Islam allowed its believers to indulge in things like drugs, alcohol and pornography as long as those things were not manufactured by the very same individuals who partake in them.

I’ve mostly been keeping up with FB via our beloved regular posters, but I did listen to the Yaba stream from this morning and I like how she handled the nonsense. I’ll admit I was a bit surprised to hear Chantal, yet again, making (actually) defamatory statements about women who aren’t on the internet and have nothing to do with reaction channels. It’s always so bizarre to me but I should be desensitized by now.

It’s clear she’s scared of something that’s going down in the utopia of Kuwait right now. Whether that be her mentally deficient manservant chatting up other desperate fatties or her inability to gorge herself at will because Salah was god knows where at 4:30am, this particular stream has all the hallmarks of misdirected panic.
