Isn't it crazy how he managed to put out YMS reviews by himself just fine, but when he needs an editor he can barely push one out a year.

E-celebs just get lazier over time like YMS can't even put out a one YMS review a year, IHE only putting out one video a year to focus on podcasts, Fredrick Knudsen hasn't put out a Down The Rabbit Hole in Years, Internet Historian hasn't done a video on his main channel for years, etc. It's a combination of demonetization/age-restriction = less motivation to put out videos, burnout, and livestreaming can be quite lucrative with less effort because of paypigs. There's a reason Doug Walker gets praised for his work ethic as he still puts out a Nostalgia Critic review every week along with livestreaming and doing other videos as well as working on Disneycember. Compare that to James Rolfe, who acts like he has "no time" because of muh kids so he has the slobs and Mike Matei do everything for him like editing and getting gameplay footage.

I agree on most of that, but I think it's a bit unfair to lump in IH with the rest of them. While you're right that he hasn't put anything on the main channel in ages, he's pumping out stuff fairly regularly on incognito mode and storymode. I don't think this is laziness, more so just a desire to change the focus of his content.

That's only because his main channel videos keep hitting snags in their production which keeps putting them off, that and they just take a shit load of time to make at the scale he does. (Also his most recent main channel video got taken down by YouTube for some reason).

I wonder if that's why he focuses more on his other channels than his main one. Then again, quite a bit of youtubers have focused more side ventures than their main channel. H3H3 hasn't posted on his main channel in years to focus on podcasts. Projared is focused on livestreams and his Now in the 90s channel, Logan Paul is focused more on his podcast, etc.

As much as I have come to hate YMS I quite enjoyed this video. It reminded me of what I enjoyed about his channel years ago. Surely this is what the majority of viewers want, a mid-length review that is reasonably entertaining. As opposed to a four hour spegrg-fest about why Jon Favreau didn't animate Scar's nutsack properly.

In other news, Ralph Sepe of the Sardonicast podcast is (finally) leaving after half a decade. He says hes left to focus on his dying channel but I'm pretty sure it was due in part to the constant bashing he got in the comments over his critique and commentary.

That's a shame, I listen to Sardonicast pretty regularly on my long commute (it's the perfect length for a 2hr drive), and always thought Ralph was a good balance. Sure he's not as insightful, but it was good to have a more "regular guy" who could just relax and enjoy a film.

Also it was always fun how it would wind up Adum when he would go into great detail about a pothole or inconsistency and Ralph would just flat out say it "didn't bother him" or that he still enjoyed the movie. I don't think the podcast has a future with just YMS and IHE, so I hope they find a replacement host that's a bit more chill than them.

This lazy twat. Look at his latest YMS Highlights video where the entirety of his editing is adding the date at the beginning in the default Adobe Premiere Pro font and credits at the end. He doesn't cut in anything that YMS talks about like the tweets where Joe Rogan talks about interviewing a furry and Adum's fans reaching out to make it happen. It'd be cool if we saw those tweets instead of doing literally nothing at all.

He can monetize his content other ways if it's truly worth a living. He can make a Patreon or start livestreaming or, oh wait, he already does that.



What you provide to the world isn't enough to warrant the lifestyle you would like. You must get a job or scale your video editing to become more profitable. Why would you even want to be monetized on Youtube again when the income stream is this unstable?
