Yeah his parent that came here to tell us he'd gotten SWATed and ended up shitting all over him was trying to say the PiNS charge was "over a minor disagreement" and that he "wasn't getting on with his parent and their partner" but when you look up the requirements for a PiNS charge in NY, its not a minor thing, it has to be signed off on by a Judge who has to agree theres a real threat if the subject remains in the home, and theyre issued after "a prolonged series of delinquent behavior, refusal to obey the rules of the home, and where there are people in the home that genuinely feel in fear or are at risk" its something usually given to gangbangers and young thugs that live with single moms who just cannot control them, kids that are totally out of control, its not given lightly.

Yeah you can go back in this thread and read his parents explaination. Their story was by the time they found out about the PiNS it was too late, so Ped had to stay in a boys home for a year before moving to live with them in NC.
Here's the thing though - if it wasn't a custodial sentence and just a matter of finding him accomodation because he wasn't allowed back in the home he was removed from, the court would have much preferred to release him to his other parents custody and save the cost and hassle of housing him for that year.
It just doesn't ring true, you're right, a year isn't the slow wheels of paperwork taking time to be worked out, that's the Judge putting him there on purpose.
His parents "he wasn't getting on with his parent and their partner, it was a misunderstanding" excuse doesn't hold water, not when you just look into the facts about PiNS charges and the sort of things that would get someone removed from their home and put in a secure boys home for 12 months.
He did something fucked up to where a family court Judge thought removing him from the home and holding him for a year to "rehabilitate" him was the best option.
If it was just a case of he wasn't welcome at home anymore he wouldn't have taken a whole year to be released to his other parents custody.

the situation was, the 13 year old kept on trying to get the 7 year old into the shower with him, and i mean persistently, and the parents had to keep stopping it and on the night the 13 tried to stay over, after 2 attempts they drove him home.
