Just a few things I've learned over my many decades on this planet.
Many women are worried that their small breasts won't be enough to breastfeed. I had AA sized boobs when I was younger. Not even big enough to fit the smallest size bra. When I got pregnant they grew to a (very) small B and they were PLENTY big enough to breastfeed. They completely disappeared after I stopped breastfeeding each time and looked, no joke, just like spaniels ears. Just completely flat skin flaps. Still managed to make enough milk.
The other thing is, I had my first babies in my early 20's. It wasn't difficult. I could handle the night feeds and exhaustion easily, I had plenty of physical and emotional energy to think up exciting adventures, teach them to read, and to make gardens and camps and secret huts in the woods that we could sleep out in. My last 2 were 47, and 49. This was MUCH MUCH more difficult. The energy levels were not the same, I could no longer run about all day, then dig in the garden, then read 16 storybooks in a row whilst simultaneously making and serving dinner, feeding the baby and bathing and pj-ing a couple of grimy and wiggly boys. My youngest 2 could run faster than me by the time they were 3 and knew that if they took Mama's stick she couldn't walk very fast. They had to be parented differently because they had very different parents! I now worry about their future with elderly parents. The quality of your eggs is very much a worry at that age, they have to live their whole lives with the consequences of my ignorance of fertility. Nobody told me that women often have a 'fertility surge' right before menopause that causes those tag-along kids that are 10+ years younger than their siblings. My second to last baby's in-utero nickname was "Perry" as in "We thought the missed periods were Peri-menopause". Our youngest baby's was "Oh FUCK! It's not menopause this time either!"
Dont get me wrong, You adore your kids from the get-go, but planning their births and how many you have, is a Huge improvement over Surprise! Your family just got bigger!
