I doubt it, if a mediocre male actor troons out it can make their career. But it doesn't go in the other direction, even for a woman who actually had some pretty big roles. Ironically this is because society still views trans men as women, and society doesn't take women seriously.

I would definitely add some of her interviews to the OP.

The Jussie Smollett interview mentioned upthread. This one is important because you can see how she ties activism into her personal story. It gives her purpose to jump on board and fight against injustice. It explains why she has to come out by immediately hectoring people for not making her feel good enough about herself,. While a lot of people were getting duped by Jussie at the time and offering support and condolences, Ellen went far above everyone else to latch onto The Cause and use it to make herself look good. The story unraveled soon after.

I think you can also see how thin she is here. Extremely gaunt in the face.

Anorexia leads to hair loss, especially receding hairlines. You can definitely see it in this time period.



Other interviews are funny for the quivering way she insists how "happy" and "joyful" she is.

This one with Oprah was shortly after she came out.

Having been on T for a while, her voice is taking on more of the froggy sound.

She did a lot of bad, low-budget movies as a kid, before Hard Candy. Sadly another child star who saw too much too young. She could see an escape in loving women, but she was groomed by a lesbian too. She has to continue to adapt and create versions of herself that are immune to that kind of humiliation and powerlessness she felt. But this path isn't as easy to ditch.

Honestly, most trannies should just go ahead and commit murder on whoever diddled them. It's what they really want to do anyway and at least they stand a chance of getting out of prison. Whereas trooning is a life/death sentence.
