reddit General

The day 1 timelapse is up, with many variations of "fuck Spez" (and at one point, a depiction of him getting guillotined).

A lot of comments in the /r/place subreddit along the lines of "who's spez" and "why do people keep typing fuck spez". My personal favourite is people's complete inability to draw a Turkish flag or a Union Jack.

It's up: https://www.reddit.com/r/place/?screenmode=preview

Also lmao at all those people spamming "fuck spez" everywhere, do these losers really think that anyone running Reddit will give a shit?

Are you kidding spez‘s skin makes tissue paper look durable by comparison. He blocked Blind’s domain from Reddit’s internal email server because employees were complaining about him and he couldn’t handle it.

"where's the giant tranny flag, where is i- theeere it is"

What is the point of r/place if bots are allowed to run rampant? Seems more like a perfunctory "Some redditors liked this stupid pixel thing so guess we should bring it back" than any kind of genuine community project at this point. The charm really wears off on things like r/place once people learn to sweatily min/max ways to place a single colored square every 5 minutes.

I can't think of any possible explanation as to why Reddit, as gay as they are, would allow another r/place after how out of hand it seemingly got last time except as a tactic to try to get people talking about whatever silly antics are going down there and not about Reddit policies and recent related drama.

That's probably a good idea, tbh watching a bunch of redditors and trolls battle over little picture tiles is really funny.

R/Transplace is under attack. It's so small but I still want it gone more than anything. :gunt:
It's a good feeling. I was hoping to use it to attack other communities as an unbannable tactic but since it's so small and already had to move once I want it gone. Tgey weren't even given appropriate colours on the palette this year, lol.
Apparently the sub was brigaded for weeks after the last place where they defaced everything which makes me extremely happy if true. (I don't believe the janny)

Remember that Canada couldn't even draw their flag properly last time. It's happening again apparently.

r/place could have been fun in like 2009 or something but people are so angry and broke brained from identity politics it just turns into angry autistic screeching like everything else.
Million Dollar Homepage was a similar concept in 2005.

The "fuck spez" spam is giving me "tuck frump" vibes. Spez Derangement Syndrome?

And bots, lots of bots and admin abuse.

That's just reddit as a whole lol. High karma accounts for sale on 3rd party sites, astroturfing by for profit companies, huge influence of orgs like ADL and governments themselves, subreddits directly ran by employees of game/company it is about, even the actual people there aren't organic. Trannies are more like a GMO with all the chemicals in them. Reddit is the dead internet theory personified.

I remember the days when Reddit was pretty much just diet 4chan, complete with all kinds of crazy degenerates hitting the front page.
My all time favourite Reddit post was the post from r/darknetmarkets back in like 2015 where a Redditor gets in trouble with his religious conservative mother because he ordered drugs on the internet and the drug dealer listed them as “gay lube oil” on the customs form so now his mom thinks he’s secretly gay.
