Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Because they think war is a video game where stat-to-stat matchups of equipment are the deciding factor.

Pretty much this. It explains the tanks, the fetish for F-16s and the constant hype of it.

It has gotten to the point even HoI4 nerds would probably be doing a better job. "Dude yeah those Modern Tank 40 width divisions are pretty sick but by the time you deploy them the Allies will be doing D-Day stop wasting our resources and put more factories on CAS!"

Russia has shown itself to be extremely casualty adverse. They retreated from Kharkiv to avoid a bloody fight, they use missiles instead of risking pilots in contested airspace and they don't storm positions despite the mocking. It's pretty much the opposite of UKR's trading of lives for time and image.

Wagner was willing to risk its penal troops, so they had more costly successes.
So Russia is playing Fire Emblem while Ukies play as FE NPCs.

I’m willing to bet they actually did it considering how corrupted Ukraine is. Maybe not tanks or anything big, but small arms, explosives, drones and what not. We won’t ever hear it happening though due to opsec.

You can't fire a stand-off weapon off such laden F-16 because stand-off weapons are reserved to the pylons that would be needed for the fuel.

People are fapping for F-16 the same reason why they did for HIMARS, Javelins, Bayraktars, Leopards, and Bradleys. Wunderwaffe that'll change the course of war. You know, like this thing.

Well, aaaakshuaally that wunderwaffen kind of worked after people hybridised it with nukes. Just both sides have it so its a moot point.

In Liman, the 8th battalion of the 10th mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were taken prisoner, the rest of them "200" (KIA). Link

Fucking Edelweiss, the same as the Wehrmacht 1st Mountain Division Edelweiss in Operation Barbarossa, which committed war crimes in, including but not limited to, Poland, the Ukraine SSR and executed Italian soldiers after their surrender. The pigger Nazi larp is cringe af.

Are there even mountains in Ukraine?

What Strikes me is that in the beginning of the conflict many people argued how Putin had miscalculated in his hope for a quick victory. But the irony of course is that the ukrainians and the West by extension are hoping for the extra same thing it's considered overly optimistic but only when the Russians do it.

Now now those aren't warcrimes, well not any worse than what the Red army, allies or nips did.

Just trying to make Italians do fighting, which is frankly like herding cats. How the Romans ever managed to spawn such weak warriors is utterly inconcievable.

Though hohols larping as whites is always funny.
Once the trains in Italy ran on time what's the point of getting killed for a bunch of humorless Nazis? There's a reason la dolce vita is a thing.
Carpathian mountains. It's on west part of Ukraine
Technically Hungary but you are correct, the piggers control it (but decommunization is proceeding).

And if Ukraine collapses and Poland goes through with their western occupation rumours, then I have a strong bet Hungary will try and snatch the mountains back, it is rightful Magyar clay after all
There have been tepid rumors about NATO mulling the use of manpower from Poland and the Baltics to bolster Ukraine's dwindling manpool. I wouldn't put much trust in them just yet, it's literally "one babushka said..." sources, but I am pretty sure somebody already considered this idea somewhere, if only in passing.

We're a year and a half into a war that the expert pundits on the farms thought would be over in a few months.

Russia. Strong.
If Russia had wanted to lay waste to the country and kill a million Ukrainians it would've been. I don't think anyone anticipated Zelensky killing half a million of his own people first before surrendering and running off to one of his foreign villas though.

Credit where credit is due, we all expected him to flee in the first days of the war but he did stay. Even though I am pretty sure some of his "straight from the bunker" inspirational speeches were filmed in Poland.
