Diseased Open Source Software Community - it's about ethics in Code of Conducts

Oh and if you don't want to be doxed just get better opsec, simple as that.
He should get better opsec mostly for the sake of other people. It's me, I'm the other people. Googled his username for shits and giggles some time ago and was immediately assaulted by his lardass mugshot (:_(

The only problem is that these languages are exceptionally hard to use correctly.
If you are reckless or just a shitty programmer then, sure, you will have issues and security bugs. But if you are inexperienced, careless or just not very good you can create serious bugs in any language no matter what features or tooling it provides.
no one is forcing anyone to use it. and if you apply for a job without the skills that's not the fault of the language.

any craftsman blaming his tools is a shitty craftsman. programming is a craft, the same applies.

But SUSE, the company behind it's own Enterpise Linux distro and supporter of the openSUSE Distro has basically decided to invest $10 million just so they can make a fork of RHEL that won't rely on RHEL's new subscription model.
I knew suse was run by retards, but holy shit nigga wtf you're doing?!

And how many troons died because a website talks about them? Zero.
Imagine being the big bad leftist political larper, but also wanting to kill yourself because a website talks about your freaky behaviour and hurts your feelings. Way to shove it up to the "far right" with two entire subforums on the site, and none of those retards ever considered actually killing themselves despite being doxed into oblivion, harassed in the streets by cowtipping a-logs, and seeing way, way more hate.

The amount of criticism troons get on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit etc. in totality is far far greater than this site by the sheer number of users alone and infinitely more troons died because of that than our kill count of precisely zero.

Byuu is still alive because Nintendo actually ruins lives.

rdrama was talking about this thread on Hacker News where they're talking about KF. I saw this one post by "Evan Byrne" where he's just straight up threatening some random guy he thinks might be a KF user. It's just so unhinged I wanted to post it.

I wonder if Evan Byrne deleted his own post or if it was removed by moderation. It can't be within the SPLC's Corporate Code of Conduct for associates to openly leverage their name to threaten private individuals without basis. I mean, in such a public and incriminating way.

I don't know where else to post this, but doesn't this shit enables web servers to exclude who uses them? https://github.com/RupertBenWiser/Web-Environment-Integrity

Explained by a github user rfkat [a]:
At its core, it establishes software components called "attesters" that decide whether your device and/or browser is "trustworthy" enough - as defined by the website you are trying to visit. Websites can enforce which "attesters" users must accept, simply by denying everybody access who refuses to bow down to this regime; or who uses attesters that are deemed "inappropriate"; or who is on a platform that does not provide any attesters the website finds "acceptable".

In short: it is specifically designed to destroy the open web by denying you the right to use whatever browser you want to use, on whatever operating system. It is next-level "DRM", introduced by affiliates of a company that already has monopolized the browser market. And the creators of this "proposal" absolutely know what they are attempting here.

I have also found a blog post [a] by one of the maintainers of the github repo called Yoav Weiss (I wonder where he's from) made only 2 days ago, probably as a preemptive defense when people find out Google's shit stinks to high hell.

Interesting that it's on his personal GitHub account, given that he's a Google employee. You'd like to think that the greybeards at the W3C would reject this on sight.

Also puts Google on dodgy legal ground, given the stranglehold they have over the web. There's only two fully featured browsers in active development, Chrome (100% funded by Google) and Firefox (90% funded by Google).

I am so sick of the Clipper Chip coming back under a brand new euphemism every two years. No, I'm not letting you backdoor my computer so you can show me ads and prevent N-word terrorism, fuck off and kill yourself.

He's 33 in 2018 so he's 38 now. It appears that he trooned out in 2022.

Christ on a stick, man, go back to unreasonable keyboards. This person has scheduled ✨bottom surgery✨ cuz ✨informed consent✨ and ✨no downsides✨. I'm so sad.
That sad excuse of a grey neckbeard looks like a very bad skin condition at first sight.

I've basically outlined how Google achieved this for mobile applications, link to thread:
If you look at Android, the writing is already on the wall: Google is able to strongarm their way into a privileged position on the device, and act against the user's wishes, enabled by what's essentially a mobile TPM.

My board has one but I turned it off in EFI specifically to make sure M$ couldn't install Windows 11 on my system. How does this shit benefit me in the least? It seems to benefit anyone but me.
