Yeah that did not make me want to give him another chance, but it was not it. I'm sympathetic towards the ukes because they are getting invaded, but paying to write messages on shells that kill people, well that to me seems sick especially when you are not the one in the trenches doing the fighting. Maybe the it was when he started courting v-tubers and just made gameplay videos without regards of spoilers (pathfinder wrath of the righteous was one such case), but that maybe just my personal spergery on that account. Still something just made me ignore his uploads and unsuscribe.

I'm actually not sure how well-liked he is in the FGC or as a Youtuber in general but i really wish that Justin Wong's videos wouldn't have Justin Wong in them. I like the content but hearing him speak in his faux-nigger/zoomer speak makes the videos unwatchable, the constant repetition of "bro" and his other phrases plus the constant fucking complaining is beyond grating.
GuileWinQuote is another one whose content suffers from his mush mouth and speech impedement, but i don't outright hate him as i do Wong.

The only one in that sphere i can listen to for prolonged periods of time is Maximillian, as he has proper enunciation and thinks before he speaks.

I can not confirm or deny this, but I have a strong suspicion that Lex Fridman should be mentioned more on this thread, since it seems that social media criticism of him is a lot different than YouTube media criticism of him, if that makes sense. (I’m aware that YouTube is social media, too, but it’s a lot different once the likes of Twitter and Instagram come into the foray.)

His recent interviews with the likes of Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk and even Ye/Kanye West were widely watched and praised, but when it comes to serious interviews with many famous people in the political sphere like Netanyahu and Ben Shapiro, he doesn’t seem to have a very informative and open-minded approach when it comes to talking about serious topics.

I have become firmly convinced that Lex Fridman is a some sort of fed or plant. There's no way he could have gotten his podcast to where it is organically. Especially in such a short period of time.

Do you think it would be possible to email any one of these incredibly high-profile scientists or politicians he has on, while being a beginner podcaster with a minimal following, having no interviewing experience, conversational skills, or charisma—and have them not only agree to be on your show, but to take the time and money to fly out to speak to you in person?

Could anyone else reasonably pull such high-profile guests right off the bat, if he didn't have, let's say, a strong list of connections, or maybe a government organization backing him?

He also constantly misrepresents his MIT credentials to sound more accomplished and intelligent than he actually is. I've heard there has been academic push-back on the integrity of his AI research as well, but that's too far out of my realm to really comment on.

He's still a flawed dude who definitely is a sociopath, but I like that he actually knew when to call it quits and didn't ever try to hide who he was. I'd rather know the guy I'm dealing with. I'd rather deal with a rat than a weasel, if that makes sense.
It is funny now looking back at some of the things everyone attacked him for. Oh no... he called someone a nigger. Compared to the half of them that are trying to fuck kids or are okay with grooming kids, he kind of seems not so bad now.
And I love that in spite of everything... Keem seems to be fine now. He never pulled an Ian and went on some gay ass apology tour or tried to grift onto commentary channel. People aren't burning him alive, he's still active and engages with people, and he never had to buckle or pretend he was something he wasn't. I seriously do not like Keemstar and what he's done, but I somehow agree with you. Compare Keem to someone like idubbbz, the latter of whom we thought was doing the right thing by calling out people such as Keem would turn around and became an absolute laughing stock by early-to-mid 2020, that it even made Leafy woke up from his grave and publically call him a cuck in the process, whereas Keemstar, despite his shady stuff he's done, is doing better.

Keem is one of those people who does anything for the money and fame. That can be a good and a bad thing depending on context and in Keems case it seems to be a good thing cause he will throw anybody and everybody under the bus when it comes to doing honest journalism, including his own friends and family if they can be used for drama. Most people online claim to support honesty and principles but are close friends with Hasan and Pokimane, support twitchs whore policies and the like. Keem will blow up and burn anything down if it brings eyes on him as long as its justified in his mind, he wont lie or misrepresent deliberately, which seems to be a good thing. That kind of principle, I will do anything and expose anything for the money, seems to be the best journalism you can get nowadays cause everybody else are really hypocritical and have protected interests or are really soft spoken and dont want to "cause problems".

Muta I feel like he got ruined by his new GF and him hanging out with "mainstream" youtube, the likes of Hasan and others. His podcast was probably the worst thing which happened to him, I remember when he used to talk 4chan stories and browsed back in 20 21. He seemed like a much better person back then. He had a GF in 21 I think who died in 22 from terminal illness, something he spoke about on Dr K and then he got with the grift bitch DoeJengles whos a Trisha Paytas wannabe. I understand, I also hate modern Pokemon, but if you hate the games so much, stop playing them.

YongYea - Drama whore extraordinaire and Kojima Kocksucker. A few years ago he was part of a drama with some ape game dev who used to work on Assassin’s Creed. The dev accused some reviewers of giving the game a low score without playing it and YongYea started whiteknighting the games journos, saying he had no evidence for the reviews being fake… except they were later proven to be fake and Yong never apologized for shitting on the guy.

The Salt Factory - video essayist who pumps out 3+ hour long videos about how much [popular game] disappointed him. Had the gall to start his “Skyrim is akshually bad” video with a Raid Shadow Legends sponsorship.

North of the Border - I’m not experienced enough in sculpting to know if he’s good at it but his creations look good. It’s a shame that he’s an algorithm leech who only sculpts whatever’s trendy that week and every single one of his jokes boil down to “I’m so lazy ha ha.”
