𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

No, no, no.
You guys just don't fucking get it. You do not understand. You lack the ability to comprehend genius.
Allow me, or better said, allow Based Canadian and local cow JFG to explain:

relating to the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope, and the distinction between justified belief and opinion.
"What epistemological foundation is there for posting that faggot-ass video, JFG?"

I remeber about a decade ago roosterteeth talked about trying to buy rvb.com and that it would cost at least a million for a 3 letter site so I can't even imagine the price for a single letter domain especially the totaly rad letter x.
I unironically remember Bernie saying that they had the chance to buy the x.com domain for a really good deal. The decision Rooster Teeth made was that rebranding Rooster Teeth to x was retarded and they decided not to do it.

100% serious, but I can't find the clip.

He's said that he wants X to be 'the mega app' that does literally everything. It is a strange concept.
Not when you consider WeChat is the most popular app in China. He’s just trying to imitate that. Everyone is surprised but he’s been hinting at this for years and buying Twitter was just the start. Although most people really don’t like change, they’re resistant to it on a primal level. So I don’t know how this is going to play with existing users unless he starts introducing some additional must-have features immediately.

Musk will surely be the end of Twitter.
Unbanning all the rightoids will surely be the end of Twitter.
Cleaning house and firing everyone will surely be the end of Twitter.
Getting rid of the legacy verification system will surely be the end of Twitter.
The rate limit will surely be the end of Twitter.
Twitter Blue will surely be the end of Twitter.
Threads will surely be the end of Twitter.
X will surely be the end of Twitter.

blowblax is in need of a new @ lmao

I'm not very fluent in Chinese internet but I think QQ is the same over there: social network, payment processor, search engine, video and photo hosting, news aggregator and many other things. There is definitely Big Money potential in such mega-app. Twitter as-is is very hard to monetize, in 11 years of its existence it was profitable only once (Trump election year) and was bleeding investor's capital every other year.

I mean, death by a thousand cuts still kills you eventually.

Elon Musk is kind of obsessed with X as a letter, maybe it has to do with the fact he effectively owns the prime digital real estate that is a single-letter second-level domain.

I think the name change will definitely kill or effect the popularity of the brand since for quite a while the term Twitter and its bird logo was quite ubiquitous on the Internet.

Didn't see his retweet posted:

Yeah right, more like a centralised way for governments to keep tabs on its citizens and unperson anyone they need to. How much easier would it be to fuck someone over by only having to get one warrant. Then you introduce a digital ID tied to your account and you have the start of a Chinese style social credit system. It’s probably why the US government has been so generous to him over the years.

Isnt that in a way what he wants? He wants to base this on a Chinese app that pretty much from what I understand is just that.

Seems similar to this X

X11, aka the X Window System aka the display system on most Unix systems.

Looks like Musk owned X.com in 1999 then Paypal had it, then he bought it back.

There are only a few single letter dot-com domains as they stopped allowing them in 1993. According to the Internet(tm) x.com was owned by "Weinstein & DePaolis" at the time.
Do you think he got the Idea from Foodfight?

Just what the internet needs, more centralization.

And people were calling this guy based. There are no good technocrats, all of them have something bad in store.
