He hasn't done anything truly awful.
1) paid his wife to cuck her ex and cheat with him
2) harassed and soft stalked a girl because his gf told him to
3) genuinely picked on actually retarded people before
4) advertised his wife's porn on YouTube, exposing it to minors while giving people the advice "pimping out your gf is cool if she likes being a whore"
5) Exploited Fatty's irl problems for content, which is fucking gross behavior for a grown man
6) tried to make out Sam and Froggy to be actual despicable people for no good reason other than a few insults at Anisa.
7) I suppose you could say he threw death threats at keem, which was a joke, but dressing up shit like him and shooting it is pretty bad behavior, even if not super serious
Funny or not Ian is an unironic gone woke Filthy Frank. Instead of taking a topic and having an over the top character he played he is the literal internet obsessed horrible person that likes to treat people like shit because of some insane narcissism. Big ego and low competence, antisocial freak that tries to tell others how to behave while acting like a nutjob.
Ian isn't a good person. His morals are shit, he has no principles, he genuinely is such a cunt people thought it was just a joke. I don't think he's actually racist or bigoted, but most of the time he can't interact with others without insulting someone and being a total cunt. He acts more scummy than the people he points at most of the time. He's just to inept and cowardly to be an actual threat in a major way, but he is a conniving fucking snake that will fuck over anyone if he believes it benefits him in very backhanded ways. It's not an issue of hypocrisy, Ian is just proven to have poor character and to be a shitty person. And it has little to do with Anisa. This isn't insulting the comedy, it's pointing out that the guy today hates people he has never met because of internet shit and often crossed a significant amount of boundaries a person with basic decency wouldn't, often in situations where he's not making any joke at all or it's mildly reasonable to call it not a joke because of him having other potential motives (like Anisa encouraging him to go after Tana and him claiming he outright hates leafy, keem etc even to this day and hopes he made their lives worse).
It's like someone that puts out pro-rape messages. Sure, maybe they are a total pussy that will never act on it, but just fucking encouraging that kinda thing seriously is enough to dock their good boy points. His own weakness and lack of courage is the only reason he isn't a fucking menace.
