𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

I only ever used Twitter to make a dummy account to follow artists and they're now shaking in their boots over where else to go since a lot of them abandoned other plattforms because they didn't receive as much exposure as on Twitter.
Depending on how this evolves I hope people will wake up more on how much the over centralization of the internet sucks and to not put all your eggs X (;)) in one basket.

Twitter is going to have trouble changing their name in Japan (one of their biggest audience outside the US)
Good luck even getting the Japanese to adapt. There's a good reason why Yahoo Japan still uses the old 90s logo, X will mean absolutely nothing to them. The colorful blue bird they're used to and that everyone is synonymous with has now been changed to a generic "X". People say this is bold, call it what it is, this is fucking retarded. Aside from Musk's very loyal cocksuckers, the vast majority of Twitter users will rebuke this change. Also the whole dystopian nature behind this rebrand, X being the center of transactions, communications etc is such a glowy concept I cannot believe some righttards are still blindly sucking this white Africans cock.

Am i the only one not getting redirected? I just get this screen that suggests that the domain is not actually registered.

On an unrelated note, this migration will surely go well. As we all know, nobody associates Meta Inc. by Facebook® anymore. Due to the immense popularity of the MetaVerse™, the rebranded name became an instant sensation, and people immediately stopped using its' old namesake.

I swear, musk is in some contest with other billionaires to see who can burn 50 billion dollars the fastest. What the hell was the point of this acquisition? I mean, I guess there's a user base still there, but that seems to be hemorrhaging to Instagram and whatever the hell Facebook's thing is.

software lingers on in zombie mode for years, it doesnt flip a sign from “open” to “closed.” MySpace continued existing for years after it was acquired by Murdoch, long after traffic tanked and the site lost any relevancy.

I havent even read about twitter switching to X on any of the mainstream media sites I read. After following every step Elon made with bated breath less than a year ago I now have to hear about Twitter updates on kiwi farms. Loss of media relevancy, loss of advertisers, loss of traffic, X is well on its way to myspace-dom even if the lights will remain on for the foreseeable future.
This was reported on by everyone. What are you reading, the Daily Planet? lol

In a perfect world, the engineers probably parameterized everything and only need to change 1 code line or a string.
But it’s a clown world, sooooo everything is definitely is hardcoded :story:
Crazy thing is, some great tech has come out of twitter, so someone there must have known what they were doing at some point. They all seem to have left some time between 2016 and 2021, though.

I take that back. I was thinking of Facebook. The only thing Twitter made is a shitty version of oembed.
