Yeah a lot of these songs still have heavy vocal effects applied even when the vocals are isolated and it fucks with the voice model. A lot of them are also way outside of your normal vocal range. Songs with cleanly recorded vocals work the best. The best result I have gotten so far is Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious.

Was looking up Du Hast covers as sometimes the covers are easier for the AI to convert, found this, have to share - a Russian band with a Spanish name for people from a US state singing a German song. I laughed, but it is still a decent cover.

You could definitely improve the end result by getting someone to sing the vocals, seems the main limits come from the messiness of the vocal-remover software.
Josh, would you please post some individual, specific reviews/feedback as well as mp3 recordings of vocal exercises, if you have the time and you don't mind?

This came after I spent a long time fighting against copyright for the Pokerap, reediting and uploading. Gave up after attempt 4. The lisp should clean up with more training or samples for the model or modifying some stuff. The ear rape distortion usually happens when more then 1 person is sining which can not really be fixed too easily unforternatly.
Will redo all the songs with lisps I have made if there ever is an updated model or other way to remove the lisps.

- First attempt at duet. I used AI to help Gunt and Null express what is in their hearts. It's... rough. I don't know enough about music production to get them to harmonize correctly through the entire song, but the start works. Might be a problem with not having clean vocal tracks, just the already harmonized and mixed track that UVR rips from the song.

Yeah I haven't messed around with Gunt AI much yet and can't get it to work the best, it only works at 0 pitch from my experiments. I put the vocal track rip through both models, Null at -12 pitch and Ralph at 0. Cut out vocals half based on original song, half based on what sounded best. Experimented with other things like pitch-shifting in Audacity but I have no idea what I am doing.
There's probably a source of cover vocal tracks out there somewhere, but based on the AI songs being put on YouTube I don't think anyone has found it yet. If someone wanted to spend money, Fiverr might be good way to get clean vocal tracks.

I appreciate the effort, however why are we using YouTube? I think this is so niche to the farms that somewhere like Odyssey might be better to avoid that bullshit

I think it might be worth retraining the voice model with Null when he's pissed off. I've found that when building up Cyrax's voice that when trying to put in his normal speaking the results were sub par but after introducing his freak outs suddenly the ai was able to make him sing opera; Josh has a very monotone/calm voice which doesn't have much frequency variation meaning the AI might not have a basis in which to construct higher or lower pitch vocal ranges. What would happen if we isolated the best examples of the AI flawlessly making him sing and then feed THAT back in with his normal audio? Using AI's replication of someone to then be fed back in to the same system to refine it?
When I was a teenager I used to work for a couple of months in sound engineering; from my perspective, obvious issues with the AI not understanding certain words etc, another problem is that vocalisists often have a fuck ton of effects applied to their voice and also have backing vocals (even if not apparent). That's one of the reasons artists sound so fucked on stage compared to recordings - because as of yet a lot of effects can't be applied in real time and be reliable. Audacity is good for a free program but compared to a professional suite of software it's lackluster and lacks a lot of the tools that artists use to refine their vocal performances.
There's also an issue of when vocalisation becomes instumentalisation - some people (Sarah Brightman and the Opera singers who pull off the Diva Dance) aren't 'singing' at that point, they transform their voices more in to instruments that transcend language. Certain vocalists are also loved for their voices while not being the most technically gifted (Haddaway for example) and nothing will really enable anyone - regardless of AI or an actual singer - to replicate or duplicate it.
Another issue is the source of the audio files - even the best AI isolation tool can't completely isolate a voice without some elements of the music it was apart of becoming intwined (this happens with the aforementioned point of vocalists being more like instruments) and I found that the Diva Dance and Time to Say Goodbye both had random elements of the vocalists coming through wherein the AI didn't recognise it as AI. A weird ghost in the shell of music. Kinda spooky. Kinda neat. Compression definitely hurts the AI's attempts to make the voice model sign.

The AI unironically sings better than Cog. Wow he's terrible. The AI somehow has a warmer voice than him - and the warmth of the voice is something the AI seems to struggle with. Get fucked Cog.
We do need a list. I was gonna do requests but I can't keep up with what's done and not done. We should make it a requirement for users to go back in to their post and cross out the request or something. It's not the hardest thing to do per se with making the songs but if we're going to the effort and time to do this for people then that seems like a small request of them.
Null as Ken sounding like he has a mouth full of food while singing is amazing. Best AI story arc yet. Can't wait to see what the lizard overlords have planned next.
