Hiding replies on Twitter is utterly retarded and counterintuitive.
For those that don't use Twitter: When you hide replies, they don't get deleted, they get tucked into their own neat little tab, that can be accessed by clicking "View hidden replies" on the Tweet in question, and obviously human curiosity means 99% of users will click on that to see what drama has been hidden away. Seemingly benign responses can take on a different meaning when Twitter is telling you that the OP didn't want you to see it.
If Paul hides shit like that, people are more likely to see it than if it festered in the general responses (where it would often be more organically hidden by Twitter's "show replies that may contain offensive content", which has a pretty inscrutable algorithm and often hides random shit) because he's providing them with a button to instantly go and look at all those replies neatly bunched together. He's inviting people to seek these tweets out and wonder why he wanted to hide them, and leaving them with more questions than if he'd just let it be, and had most people write them off as random spam/trolls.
Side note: his insistence on always saying Underbridge Dwellers, capitalized like so, is so fucking autistic it drives me nuts.

I think he realizes that taking naked pictures of children he's completely unrelated to is creepy as fuck, but too autistic to grasp that calling himself "Uncle" Paul just makes him look even more like a pedo.
