Old ROBLOX Community / ORC / Old ROBLOX Revivals - Community of autists attempting to revive the glory days of a childhood game in complete and utter failure.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
while bloxcity/brickplanet doesn't strictly count as an old school revival (brickplanet nowadays seems to have that crypto play to earn metaverse sort of stink to it), i reckon it's worth a mention because of how much of a low effort conman isaac hymer is. pretty sure the amount of times he's given up and then brought bc/bp back is in the double digits at this point lmfao

What's the difference between old and new Roblox? I have no idea because I've never played it. All I know is that it's full of autism.
Here's a visual representation.

how much the customization system has degraded since packages and even moreso since UGC.
This is such a weird thing to say for a game centered around creativity. The customization system has not degraded, it's only improved. The issue is not with the customization system itself (the increase in options and creative freedom is an objective improvement for a game trying to promote creativity), the issue is how people are using it in weird and gross ways like giving kids a way to dress up like Astolfo. That's weird and creepy and needs to be moderated (which is the crux of the issue for UGC). I dreamt of a robust character creator exactly like this for the game growing up and I'm sad it popped up way after I grew out of ROBLOX. Packages were lame and ugly and nobody wanted them but that was usually because they were unimaginative corporate blobs nobody asked for. The addition of a (mostly) open UGC system is something literally anyone who made anything on that platform growing up would've killed for.
The understaffed team of incompetent street-shitters that "moderate" the game because ROBLOX will not shell out for a real moderation/support team is the issue; not the UGC/customization system. In other words, the problem is the abuse that is allowed to happen by using it, which is not a product of the customization system itself, but a very critical flaw with the way ROBLOX's moderation is handled. You should be complaining about that instead.

First, I'd like to congratulate Bait-man for getting the thread into Community Watch.
Secondly, I'd like to contribute more regarding Icseon's current whereabouts. He is currently playing a lot of VRChat and working on a project called Matokai.

No update logs have been published for over a month.
And update logs:

An important revival, which became very popular after the shutdown of Finobe in 2021, was Tadah. From 2022-2023 it was the most famous, it's owner was Kinery a former admin of Finobe. The revival did alright at first, it had a fast-growing user base that was active. Then the owner found himself in conflict with another revival called Calvy, a Russian revival that is considered radical by most in the ORC. The owner had his identity leaked by Calvy, as well as his personal information such as what school he went to, where he lived and even after some social engineering, what job he worked at. His website was ddosed for 2 months, he finally left when someone put a sticky note on his front door. Kinery later made Stan his successor, who was a friend of XlXi (the owner of gtoria.net). This became known to the public because Calvy Admins leaked their personal direct messages with XlXi and they apparently worked together to infiltrate and shut down Tadah. XlXI didn't do his end of the deal by not shutting down Tadah, so Calvy threw him under the bus. Under Stan the revival was renamed to Kapish, but could never become so popular and later closed in March 2023.

The following are Discord logs that contain the group chat where XlXi and Calvy admins communicated. As well as the complete Tadah discord server as of December 2022.

There is absolutely no way for it to be moderated with Roblox's current population, the number of mods and the attitude of the mods and the community. That is what I mean by it degrading, and it going far away from the initial style of the game. Now 95% of the items can make your character not even resemble the game they are from yet the canned animations included in the game directly clash with all of that even if you're using more premium ones. Just as you cannot replicate early Roblox with the jokers that run these 'revivals' you cannot save Roblox's customization market.

The ORC is more or less dead at this point. There aren't any good revivals with a working client. This is mainly because of security problems in the clients. After studying the current state of the ORC I came to this conclusion. There are 4 influential groups, the people in them could make a comeback and create a successful revival.

1. Former Finobe admins and other influential people from finobe could create a new revival. History has shown that this has happened before with Tadah. Worker has already shown screenshots of crapblox being back.

2. XlXI and his friend Stan, as well as other high profile players on Cubash (Icseon's project) and gtoria. Stan tried to bring Kapish back this month.

3. Calvy and other free speech absolutist groups. Although Calvy has been shut down earlier this year, they have become more active this month. There is no information about possible projects or revivals that could come in the future. There's one called "Chuddytoria", but it seems to be just a shitpost.

4. LMAD Fanatics (Economy Simulator Reborn)
At the moment there is a revival made by them
This is a browser only revival where most players trade fake digital goods instead of playing the game.

There are other old roblox revivals, but most of them are operated by incompetent children so they are not taken into account.

SPACEBUILDER HAS HAD MULTIPLE VICTIMS
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AREPsmQwSynJvxvr39b60XBlEuCWbUukij94sBL4bqU/edit?usp=sharing

Spacebuilder has recently been exposed by one of his long time friends FireCatMagic to have sexually abused more underage girls! How great, just in time for the reopening on Brick Hill! To stop any wrongthink, Spacebuilder has assembled a team of hidden moderators in a groupchat which has been leaked and attached in this post. While you could say that it can just be any regular group chat, the source code that was released a month ago includes a VISIBLE_ADMIN variable, which indicates that there can be hidden administrators.

Due to archive.today not working with google documents, I have decided to just export them as PDFs.

EDIT: added Firecat's document because for some reason it didn't upload.

apparently I spoke too soon. apparently he had dated only the 16 year old from ohio and has been abusive throughout their relationship. the rest though stands true

It is without question that much has changed in the ORC this summer. With Kapish now having a working client and website, there is finally a successor to the famous Tadah from 2022. It appears that I have underestimated the "revival" Chuddytoria; there were actual servers being hosted on the revival, as well as a custom port of Contamination being made. Most of the userbase came from the now-dead revival, Calvy, which is a controversial revival with links to 9chan and other extremist groups. The owner of Chuddytoria said last week that he quit the ORC. The owner, who goes by the name "greece3," is a well-known neo-Nazi in the ORC and a spokesperson for 9chan.

With Greece3 gone, Stan, the owner of Kapish, can no longer worry about any opposition that he may receive. However, nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is, this entire week there have been instances of exploit attacks by a new extremist group called the "Tadah Liberation Front," a communist group that seeks to oust Stan and replace him with Kinery. There are three things that can happen to Kapish. The first is that it will be attacked with exploits and possibly even DDoS attacks, causing it to shut down. The second thing that could happen is that the community will fall into disarray due to the toxicity of the userbase. The third thing, which I think is unlikely, is that Kapish will somehow make it through the winter.

In short, Autumn 2023 will most likely be a repeat of last year, with a grand new revival opening and extremist groups mobilizing.

The ORC is a mental institution run by its patients. They have no common sense, no proper security measures, and an insane attachment to the past.

The so-called golden age of Roblox was riddled with security issues from the start which as I mentioned in the original Roblox community thread, only started to get resolved in 2013-2014 with the introduction of proper server-side security measures like FilteringEnabled. No matter how many times you attempt to patch out the exploits and vulnerabilities of the past, you'll never be able to fully fix the issue. Why? Because the entire foundation of the game's networking was a massive security hazard from the beginning and the only good way to resolve that is to completely redo the game's networking.

For a community consisting primarily of children, that's one hell of an undertaking. Especially when you consider that most revivals actually share very similar codebases and re-use the source code of defunct revivals and thus have very little programming effort put into it. Mix all that together and you have a recipe for disaster.

An ORC user by the name of Carly was swatted by another user for claims that "she" is a pedophile who groomed a 14 year old (possible troon alert).
A roblox user was swatted and the swatter admitted it on reddit

The reason stated it was because it was a pedophile that groomed a 14 year old. I stumbled upon this and there was no evidence behind it.

Another prominent revival by the name of Syntax has bite the dust.

According to the owner, the site received a DMCA takedown notice from the site's domain registrar (.eco) on behalf of Roblox Corp. and was subsequently shutdown on February 21st, 2024. On the back of this, the entire source code for the revival presumably got leaked in a 835MB ZIP file uploaded to MediaFire a day later on February 22nd (I have not inspected this, so be weary).

This isn't the first time a revival has apparently been taken down on behalf of Roblox Corp. though as Finobe (the 2nd most popular revival to have ever existed) was shut down on May 19th, 2021 due to a cease and deist letter received from them, but it's rumored that Raymonf (the owner) faked this in order to get away from Finobe. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same case for Syntax.

Necro because Roblox is running a classic revival event.
It's not up yet, but I would like to extend an invitation to any kiwis who would like to play with me on release.

Yeah the cease and desist is probably fake and gay, but given that they just launched this event (the first like it in Roblox's history, might I add) I think there's a little credence to it being real. It would be smart to shut these remakes down right before they draw a TON of attention to classic Roblox scene, attention they don't want siphoned away from them.
