I love this magical ability for certain people to simultaneously think that a certain enemy group is both dangerously cunning and ruthless, while also being completed inept and retarded. Which is it fatrick? Are they hopeless idiots who will enjoy prison, or are they an evil cult who can evade law enforcement?

Being an odd sort myself I have had an “enemy” or two.

Things I have learned is not to ever underestimate them even if you conclusively and independently verify that they are thick as two short planks.

Sometimes they get lucky, sometimes it turns out they have a smarter friend willing to help them, and sometimes they do have an uncharacteristic stroke of genius.

Fatrick is baffling however.
He just stumbles fatly into fail after fail and to be fair to the rotund porker, he has up to now had a pretty good lot.

Married, confirmed to have a child so not a virgin, has a reasonable home, a car, a motorbike, his name on some actually not self published books.
Overall if that was all you knew about him, one would think he was a fairly successful guy.

It must really have fucked with him when his first wife left him or something.

He might not be as smart as he firmly and fatly thinks he is, but he is not a drooling moron either.
Especially if he was able to sell insurance.
It doesn’t require genius level of intelligence, but no one would buy insurance from an obvious retard.

For all of these reasons, this is why I find him a favorite cow.
It’s a tad mean when there is something seriously wrong with them, like Chris, Cyrax and that Russel Greer.
All those three are obviously disabled. It doesn’t excuse a lot of their behavior but it certainly marked them out and made life harder for them.

But Fatrick is just a basic average guy who had he not attracted attention from the wrong people, he wouldn’t have mucked up his own life so badly.

I could not disagree more. A lot of why we consider negative points in his life happened well before the OnAforums got ahold of him. The only thing that changed with the timing was how public Pat’s temper tantrums became but, even if he had never put pen to paper after getting his 1.7 GPA, he still would have dug his life out from under himself in a similar way.

The pre discovery negative points, extreme as they appear, they are still pretty average things to happen.
Cheated on and left by a wife, that happens to a lot of guys.
He was understandably angry this happened and making threats to kill them is not that unusual.
Cheating at a marathon, probably happens from time to time.

He might be a dishonest guy who has always had a distorted picture of himself, but being actively wound up and being unable to ignore the trolls or simply change his phone number and restrict his twitter has likely made him more erratic and determined than otherwise.

i think a simpler explanation is that pat ignores the good reporting is because if he accepted it, he would have to admit to being wrong. we all know pat never wants to admits to being wrong about something. he also doesnt want to admit to being fat, but the truth is he is very very fat, by any medical standard.
