Dungeons and Dragons.
I'm waiting to play Baldur Gate 3 and I spent some time around those nigger nerds. I've seen some shit that I never thought a human being would ever possibly think or do. I am traumatized so much, I literally installed an extension that blocks sites based on a given criteria and I chose to block anything DnD related.

The way I see it over the years, the fanbase seems to have Good Autism moments and Bad Autism moments

Good Autism moments is when they dissect the game and go through it with a fine-tooth comb, looking for unused content, differences between versions, how the game was coded, and can basically tell what was going on behind closed doors at sega when they were making the games.

Bad Autism moments is when they decide to turn into Twitter/Tumblr and get offended when someone decides to escape from the hivemind and give criticism to (most of the time) a dumb decision that was made by the developers of the games or a specific feature that they didn't like about a certain game.

Can't speak for Minecraft but the FF14 community is an absolute dumpster fire for a whole variety of reasons. You have the raiding elitists, the WOWfugees who try to play the game like it's World of Warcraft, the coombrained players, the Twitter slacktivists who hate the game for being racist (see the New World outfit, the BLU ARR story, the new expansion) and attack people for liking/disliking certain characters yet still continue to be Yoshi-P's paypigs month after month, the entire modding community that would make even the Sims 4 and Skyrim modding communities say "lol calm down", the people who think the game is perfect and attack critique...

Yeah, the FF14 community is pretty batshit nuts. It's truly one of the worst of the modern era imho, solely because the nature of social media makes it difficult to keep a lot of it contained like World of Warcraft's community back in the days of forums and LiveJournal.

Too many of them but i'd say any popular indie game or anything with cutesy cartoon animals such as Pokemon, Sonic, Animal Crossing, ect which usually tie into the former
something about cute shit in general without fails attracts some of the most worst people ever whether it be furries or manchildren
