Which, in light of Sean (Potentially Criminal) making a statement that he was wrong about Umbrella film being a snuff film (it is not, no one is alleged to have died in it IRL), and I think others walking back statements about Monte (recently Monte's OP on this site being modified), it's all becoming a bit more clear the direction they're hoping to take the case.

That said, I don't think Rackets has the org skills to conspire to do anything against Monte, or anyone, but discovery sure will be fun.

I've only ever seen a couple of things by Ken White before. Pre-Nick, I never really had much interest in First Amendment Law. But that was really good. It was interesting, it was insightful, it was educational and it was well written.

If you were studying law, White seems like exactly the kind of guy you'd want as a professor. He'd make the subject come alive and you;d care about it so much that you'd work hard to try and impress him.

In short, he's everything that Rekieta isn't when it comes to the law. And yet Rackets has the unmitigated gall to attempt to usurp his position and status on the internet by declaring himself lawpope?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but RICO wasn't one of the claims pled in the complaint... so, what the fuck even is this bullshit? Is Steve trying to use discovery to amend RICO into his complaint? It doesn't work that way; if he had tried to put RICO into the complaint before having prima facie evidence of it, he wouldn't get to use discovery to fish for evidence, that claim would've got dismissed before discovery.

They will presumably limit it to people Nick talked to, or is suspected to talk to, about Monte. So almost certainly Null and Sean, and maybe some other lawtube and Balldo-sphere luminaries, like Legal Debtset and Coomalot. Could be spicy, especially if his Signal messages don't expire, and if they can access his Discord, Facebag, and Locals history.

It's weird how front loaded the discovery schedule is, with the big gap between duspositive motions and the trial. Makes me think they had to set it way out because of Randaza's schedule.

I haven't followed him at all. I think that was literally the second or third thing I've ever read by him.

Does he work as an academic? If so, I'm not surprised by a left turn. Either you suck the tranny cock, or you're out on your fat lazy arse. If you've got a cushy tenured position, most of them seem to have found it easier to suck the troon cock than they have to grow a pair of balls of their own. God forbid you should actually have to go out and do a hard day's graft when you can earn a living pontificating. Discovery can be really invasive. This is why most people settle, they don't want their personal info being combed over by hostile strangers. Often times you'll have to hand over your devices (at least to be cloned) by opposing party's techs.

The smart money would be to settle for pennies on the dollar already spent on the case, which would help to avoid embarrassing things, like say text messages to catfishing goblin coming out as part of discovery. But Senor Balldoman isn't known for his big brains.
