It seems more likely to me that they wanted him to keep using the internet as much as possible. They knew he wouldn't be able to resist seeking attention for himself.

I have doubts. That troon enlisted as a combat medic and promptly got blown up iirc, for all his war journo shit he doesn't have any pull or connects. Dude doesn't even speak Ukrainian or Russian, I cannot think of any reason why the SBU would tell some random troon about this shit.

This is just blatant propaganda. Having said that I do think there's a high chance CRP was caught, possibly before he even got to the border. We'll see though.

While I think Lira is just the type to turn as soon as they put the thumb screws on him I don't think he has anything to offer as an intel asset. Very little of his audience is based in Ukraine and the ones who are probably outed themselves to the SBU long ago anyway.

This guy isn't that interesting it's honestly sorta amazing he's made as much noise as he has online and off. I guess some credit is due.
