Nonreciprocal troons constantly scapegoat gay people and throw them under the bus despite the vast amount of support they receive from them. I've never seen any trans person rally against the horrible treatment of gay men and lesbians in the Middle East or African countries. Nor did we see any prominent trans people help in the gay marriage referendum.

Wall of text incoming... I've been reading on this topic and trying to make it make sense for the longest time. But I've never reached a satisfactory conclusion on why homosexuality always seems to be comorbid with serious deviance and mental disorders (which is why pretty much every ancient society deeply opposed it). This is obvious to Kiwis, but I read a paper a while back that even with increasing rates of gay acceptance in the Western world, LGB (not including trannies in this discussion) are still on average unhappier than heterosexuals. It's also known that gays score higher in openness on the Big Five personality test (the only one that isn't bunk), but that's like the only real characteristic they have.

Even in my personal experience with gays, they always seem to be on the fringes and have at least one deviant trait along with their sexuality, even the most successful ones. I'm not saying gays can't lead relatively normal lives, but that they're always the outsiders even in a group of outsiders. For example, I know a lot of professional women in the sciences who are quite spergy, but the bisexual/lesbian women in that group of already abnormal women are even weirder than them. Never equally weird, always more weird. Same with the gay and bisexual men.

Obviously homosexuality itself is a deviant attraction/state of being, but what I've never been able to pinpoint why it doesn't exist in isolation.

And there are theories, but science really doesn't have a good answer for why homosexuality continues to be a thing, or why it even exists in the first place. Given that it exists in animals, my personal opinion is that it's a random glitch/byproduct of making an organism that reproduces sexually. Sometimes nature gets it wrong and you end up with males that are attracted to males, and females that are attracted to females. And all the other sexual/personality glitches are necessarily bundled in with that, like paraphilias and hypersexuality, which are objectively bad traits for a human to have.

I also don't believe the line that "everybody is a little gay", or that there are more bisexuals than we realize. If more people were at least bisexual, there would be more writings on adult same-sex relationships. Pretty much all we have is scholars cringing at pederasts. I think "queer history" is a disgusting rewrite of an already skewed human history, and as someone who's researched it for countless hours I had to spend even more time unlearning a bunch of lies. "Queer history" is a modern invention.

Again, that's not to say homosexuality didn't exist. But it seems so popular to say that gays were everywhere and places were full of people playing hetero, with gay lovers on the side, when every piece of information we have suggests the same thing as modern society: that gays were always a fringe minority, no matter how hard you want to deny reality.

I think you're mostly right @Faggy Blanket about the cause of homosexual attraction itself. As for the comorbidities, I think the reason they occur in such high numbers among the LGBs is because there aren't the same kind of informal social and romantic customs available to the gays as there is for the straights. For example, when I was 12-13 the straight boys would bond over shared teen male lust over this celeb or that pair of tits, etc, all very horny and grotty but they *got it out of their system early* before their brains' wiring was more 'set' in their later teens. Being a closet-case homo at this time who was only just starting to come to terms with that fact, this was an experience I could not share in even though I felt pressure to. From ages 14 onwards straight boys and girls have early casual flings and short-term flighty drama-ridden courtship, and once again, they *get this behaviour out of their system*. At my school however nobody came out until they were 15/16 earliest, if they did at all - so no teen romance where you learn the basics of not being a retard in relationships through trial and error. I remember a friend reading some stat nerd book and 1 he told me was that gay men lose their virginities later than straight men, they go onto have more casual sex throughout their lives. This tracks with my own 2nd-hand observations.

There's also the fact that our society hasn't figured out a way to prevent same-sex attracted teens from growing up hearing one or both of 2 terrible messages: that they're revolting freaks who deserve every horrible thing sent their way, or they're badass rebels whose difference makes them better than the boring straight people. Often, the worst faggots and try-hard gender weirdos have heard the first one during their early lives, making them hate normal people, and then they hear the 2nd one and become the most insufferable rainbow activists around as a "fuck you, mum and dad!" move.

In adulthood, things don't get much better: gay subculture emerged at a time when people couldn't be open about it and when mainstream society with its monogamous norms hated them, so the culture that emerged was inevitably based around quick discreet hookups and hostility to monogamy, stability and assimilation. Although societal acceptance increased and gay marriage was passed, these attitudes were baked into the subculture by that point. And now you can't point this out or you're a bigot. Add to the mix that there are far fewer gays than straights and so many of them aren't interested in settling down, those who do want to settle down have a very hard time finding someone (this stuff applies to gay men, not lesbians, I can't speak on their behalf).

All of this means that the gays are often a bit fucked up at least even if they don't engage with the subculture, because they've not had the normal socialisation that their straight peers have. I never engaged with the LGBTHDTV crowd but I'm still a fuckup who can't seem to handle being in a romantic relationship (though that's likely mostly due to the 'tism). And while I may not be a sexual degenerate I have periodically self-medicated with substances over the years.

The shift from condemnation to celebration on behalf of society, from being told to hate yourself for something beyond your control to being told to be proud of something beyond your control, has done nothing to fix these problems. Growing up, I just wanted this issue to one day fade away in the political arena, for it to become something mundane and unworthy of comment. The fact that the opposite has happened is one of my biggest personal blackpills.

@Capper Mizellus (I don't know why it's not letting me quote/reply to you, sorry) I didn't think of it that way at first, but I agree with you 100%. The lack of proper romantic/sexual socialization shapes the rest of that person's life, in some way or another. And I don't think there will ever be a way to "fix" it, since LGBs are always a minority (finding another person to experience normal sexuality with is hard enough for anyone, let alone <5% of the population), and they're automatically outcasts in any given single-sex social group. Being a young man attracted to other men, or a young woman attracted to other women, puts a distance between the gay person and their peers. Even straight late bloomers who can't relate as teenagers will "get it" eventually, but gays never will. In a way they're similar to eternal bachelors/spinsters, and others who don't feel that urge to settle down. I know it's not the same thing, but there's not much of a place for them in society either.

1. 1. Completely straight.
2. These claims are vastly exaggerated because of the wave of trend chasers (particularly troons) that started to surge some 4-5 years ago. I'm betting on 1-2%, maybe 5% at most.
3. I'd actually say yes, bisexuals have always been the most prevalent group. Really easy to fit in both with straights and with gays.

There's no unity in the LGBT movement. Lesbians hate transgenders, trannys are the media darlings of the moment and riding the rainbow. Homosexuals just feel ignored and also resent the trannys for taking all attention away from them. It's not a community, it's a train wreck.

1. On a scale of 1-10 I’d say a 9. I’ve only ever been with other men romantically and sexually. Knock off a point because I don’t come off as stereotypically gay most of the time.

2. I really don’t give a shit what the percentages are. I think more people are comfortable coming out and being openly gay in Current Year, thus it seems like there’s more of us compared to the past when a good deal of us were closeted or discreetly open, but I can’t be bothered to care about the exact numbers. Just content living my life and only staying concerned with what directly affects me.

3. I’ve met a few TRUE AND HONEST bisexuals, but I’ve also met a good deal more that were either just girls being “bi for the guy” to get attention or semi closeted gay guys trying to fence sit for whatever reason. I’m not one of those types who thinks bisexuality doesn’t exist, but especially in the case of women who claim to be bi I take what they say with a heavy grain of salt.

4. See my answer for question #2. The TL;DR is I don’t give a fuck about percentages and statistics, I’m just me.

5. I have no idea what GAS is. If that’s some new retarded add on to LGBT it’s the first I’m hearing it.

6. Pansexuality is just bisexuality for attention whores. Demisexual is just autistic. Back in my day we just called it being normal. I hate trannies.

7. I never gave a shit about the word queer. I do find it just as autistic with people trying to reclaim it in the same way I find blacks trying to reclaim nigger autistic.

8. Oddly enough (or not depending on your perspective) it’s always been the “loving tolerant leftists” I’ve seen the most homophobia from. Same with racism but that’s another story. 9. Bisexuality is real but again, I have seen more than my fair share of girls claiming to be bi just claiming to be for their boyfriends, and I guys who are just closeted gay guys thinking saying they’re bi will make them more accepted in most circles than being fully openly gay.

10. I don’t hate women but I get exasperated with their bullshit and am thankful I don’t have to put up with it like straight guys do. This mostly applies to American women. I have never met a dyke who wasn’t a fugly man hating femcel so it’s to the point anymore my first reaction if I meet a lesbian is to mentally dismiss her as a cunt until proven otherwise. So far that’s never happened. Bi girls are usually pretty chill though, even if they may just be faking. I hate trannies. I live in an area that worships the ground they walk on so I’m an outlier here.

11. I’m not straight and I’m not a femboy/twink so I wouldn’t know. If we’re using gay slang, I’m an otter (slender hairy gay guy) and the guys I’ve hooked up with have all been predominantly attracted to more masculine types. “If I wanted to fuck a girl I’d be straight” was a phrase I heard a lot back in my hookup days.

12. Western countries tend to be more permissive, so gays feel more comfortable being open, simple as.

14. I had my hookup/one night stand moments in my early/mid 20s just like tons of straight people do/did. I got tired of that fairly quickly and want a long term meaningful relationship with someone I can see myself spending the rest of my life with. Marriage would be nice. Unfortunately I will readily admit it is true that gay guys just seem to want fuck buddies and nothing more. A three month relationship is positively ancient in gay circles. Guys like me who want something deeper than pointless sex are like finding a unicorn it seems.

15. I personally don’t want kids. I’d be more open to the idea of gay couples adopting children, but again, trying to find a stable committed gay couple is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and that’s not a good environment for a child to be raised in.
