Adults and teenagers have been afraid to deal with cops and legal proceedings for their sexual assaults everywhere since forever. No one really has a grasp on how impossible it is to get justice for this shit unless they see or experience the issues for themselves. I'm absolutely not exaggerating when I say that the cops/courts can have a recorded confession from a rapist and still decide to do absolutely nothing to him. If you think it's difficult to get justice for cases of child sexual abuse, that's a walk in the park compared to getting it for women, who can actually explain what happened. The rapists are just going to get let loose, even if they do somehow end up getting convicted.

What part of that sounds as though it would be worth it to go through with an investigation and legal proceedings that are going to end up being thrown out, serving as a false example for dipshits to point at and say that fake accusations are everywhere?

ETA: The people who say that it's as simple as trying to get help immediately are so blissfully clueless. Must be nice living a life that sheltered from trauma, firsthand or otherwise, and with that much trust in the legal system.

These are the same people who say the world is run by pedophiles and you shouldn't ever trust the government because they are evil and also all cops are incompetent pigs. Literal child rapists who are convicted in Germany get let off with no punishment only to rape again.

A normal person on a jury is not going to believe that a couple that had normal sex suddenly jumped to extreme BDSM in one night.

A British woman was raped by 12 Israelis in Cyprus and she was convicted of lying and sent to jail. This happens all the time if the rapists are diverse.

"Corinna" chopped his dick off when he was 19 and regrets it. He was a gay boy who got groomed by adult trannies on the early Internet and got the chop before he'd ever even had sex so he didn't know what he was giving up. It's the same story we see over and over now on social media, except for him it happened 20 years ago. I don't think DSP is involved. He was offered $50k and a permanent spot on the podcast when it was still in the concept stage and Phil refused. They've probably been bugging him about it up to this point and he's just not responding anymore.

Hector Martin is attacking Louis Rossmann for having an account on KF and being cited in my thread on Daniel Micay.

Has @Null covered the Asahi Lina situation on MATI yet? I heard about it through vtuber drama circles, and then realized it was actually the guy from the Byuu saga.

Essentially Hector Martin (marcan) appears to be larping as a female v-tuber called Asahi Lina, using a voice changer and a v-tuber avatar to make programming livestreams and other content. He lists Asahi Lina as a separate pseudonymous contributor on the Asahi Linux GitHub project, and "Asahi Lina" has presented at tech conferences on video in character.

The evidence that they are the same person looks pretty convincing.
- They both work on a system named "raider", and "Asahi Lina" accidentally showed a /home/marcan directory on stream (stream link at timestamp) (pl link).
- The voices after pitch shifting sounds awfully similar (pl link)
- The domain"ashilina.net" points email to "marcansoft.com" and the address the website points to is "shibuki.marcansoft.com" (pl link)
- He did an April 1st "stream takeover" where "Asahi Lina" took over Hector's stream, which would require access to his stream API key. (pl link)

And now Hector has started a pissing match with Hacker News, one of the most popular tech aggregators, because it has good SEO and has a number of comment chains discussing how Asahi Lina is probably marcan. Some examples:

The whole thing is weird as hell. Marcan's OPSEC is complete garbage, yet he is so aggressively insistent that no one talk about his weird vtuber larp. And then there's the issue that it's basically catfishing autistic vtuber fans.
