You really have to hope that enough cops defect to demoralize the ones that have something to prove. If a department of 1200 loses 70 officers, it wouldn't be enough to make a difference.

The most you'll get is what happened after 2020: officers will either resign or file for retirement the first chance they get, and the department will have a very hard time getting new recruits to fill the gap.

Yeah if Ron! was able to run for governor a third time I could see him causing damage to the rest of the ballot, but I think the only major political liability he presents at the state/local level is going along with dumping the resign to run law, which might help to clear out some RINOy dead weight at the primary.

I disagree, if only because the 2nd amendment basically allows guns and the sort to proliferate in private hands. It's vastly easier for a rebellion to start when people are already armed, and trained in their usage.
