Fuck me, Depeche Mode was too loud for him? I fucking saw Depeche Mode with my parents at a vineyard and it was hands-down the most Baby Boomer concert I've ever been to.

Two video game tracks (Always by Erasure existed before Robot Unicorn but I doubt he'd have heard it before then), one song about a video game and one 90s europop song, I'm no music snob but that is one immature sounding music list.
I'm guessing Dobson doesn't really listen to music very often or he'd have name dropped an all lesbian band like Tegan and Sara.

but out of curiosity i looked up what they rated DM for hardness
1-3 with an occasional 5
The final countdown is a 5
dobs can't handle a song that's as hard as the final fucking countdown (that's assuming it was the rare 5 he was listening to)
and if he can't handle a 3 then "more than a feeling" by boston is too much for his frail heart to take
let that sink in
