When it's very brief and everything feels rushed with no real meat to the story even compared to Call of Duty 4 MW, the game the devs made before Titanfall. Also requires a constant internet connection to play the campaign. Respawn's decision in the sequel. Not EA's.
Not only that, but it had more to offer in general. The way it merged two completely different playstyles (twitchy 3D fighting with a more slow-paced, hero-like robot gameplay) and the way it used its bots to build up scale made every match of Titanfall feel epic in scope (despite being a 6v6), strategic (though it wasn't), and diverse. There's nothing else like it. Apex Legends Mobile was a great mobile adaption of Apex Legends. Titanfall 2 does open world environments better than Halo.

Pilots could wall ride and flank titans. The writing was awful whenever BT wasn't speaking and the deliveries all sounded like they were late for their other IRL voice acting gigs. ? Except for BT and Carver. Killzone was exclusive to the PlayStation and Halo was on Xbox. Call of Duty was not a platform exclusive. I’m sure all the Halo games got ported to the pee cee but people primarily think of it as an Xbox series.I don't know why Killzone didn't catch on more.
