IRL Die Hard. Some schmuck saved the day while donut eaters stood around. Remember that Carl Winslow was at the Nakatomi building while Urkel was peeping on his daughter with an X-ray telescope.the Uvalde shooting helped turn a lot of more rank-and-file to be less enthusiastic about cops at large, too
At this point, and I'm not being ironic, I think every grocery store and gas station in every major California city should shut down just so they can turn the state into the world's biggest food desert. If they want to turn California into a socialist utopia, they can have all the bullshit that comes with it.
if they had gone in guns blazing and accidentally shot and killed any remaining kids while killing the shooter there would have been much more forgiveness among the boomer reds than just standing around and using hand sanitizer and phonesIRL Die Hard. There's actually a modernish tv show that's based around this premise. It's the show called Colony that came out in 2015 back when it was normal to depict strong family bonds and have strong white male lead characters. The premise is aliens have made contact with earth and are apparently in communication with a new coalition of the world's leaders. The aliens divide and conquer the human race by setting up walled colonies and with the help of human government proxies, pick and choose among the plebs who get sent to the moon to the alien labor camp. Too bad the show ended on a cliffhanger, but it was probably for the better seeing how entertainment is now.Several pages back, it was mentioned that a realistic reason why aliens would come to Earth would be to trade for organisms that are from Earth. It was even suggested people would be the lifeforms that aliens want. Given how much distain the political elite have the for plebs (see them send others to die in the wars they create), I won't be surprised if a scenario comes up like in this comedy sketch where TPTB send the masses to die for an interstellar conflict.
they could have called in a tactical nuke to destroy the town and boomercons would have been "ehh, town probably deserved it"Good chance they could've tossed a hand grenade into that room and not made things worse. Priority #1 was not taking any risks themselves, #2 was "Nobody else does our job". Everything else was way down the list.
Meanwhile, the real thief is out there preying on their next victim sponsored by the state. Like roaches, many more will take his place.
It's fasinating stuff. Ive heard a lot on the grapevine that we actually do have bases on the moon and that's why we dont go up there "Officially" to visit anymore.
but then again ive heard convincing arguments that we never went into space at all, (at least not the first time.) so who knows?
I think the dead give away that it was fake was that they filmed man's first step on the moon. Who was holding the camera? Some people believe we never went to the Moon (conventionally) due to a variety of things.
1. NASA did have promotional photographs that were doctored do show one of the Gemini Astronaunts doing a spacewalk. The original shows the harnesses.
2. NASA have done livestreams within the spacestation where it became obvious the "Astronauts" were using a greenscreen.
3. A NASA whistleblower had a press conference in which she said they airbrush out anything the public isn't supposed to see.
4. Stanley Kubrick leaves hints in his movies that suggests the rumor he filmed the Moon landing is true
5. NASA in an educational video on travelling to Mars says they have to figure out how to get through the Van Allen belt.
6. Buzz Aldrin had said many times in interviews in the last 2 decades it never happened.
I recall him literally punching somebody for such matters?6. Buzz Aldrin had said many times in interviews in the last 2 decades it never happened.

yeah the dude was an obnoxious guy who was hassling him and hassling Buzz's family iirc

I'd be curious to see that without a gallon of editing and social media retard on it, though
okay yeah he's in "lol call the ayys I don't give a fuck" modeI'm sure the original is on youtube, like this interview.
The actual issue is that average conservatives believe in the inherent goodness or rationality of people.

That's not a reversal at all. It's called the first group not giving the full story, if not outright lying.when the fuck did that total reversal happen?
it used to be that liberals believed in the perfectibility of man and conservatives accepted original sin
That would require people think about it logically. The camera came from a little arm that swung from the lander IIRC. It was planned in advance.
A better argument for the moon landing being real is the fact the Soviets never called BS on it. They had a lunar probe that they launched a month earlier that was given a path to shadow Apollo 11 and it landed a few hundred kilometers from it, even managing to be caught in one of the Apollo recordings iirc. It's always amusing how people never bring up how easy it would have been to the USSR to contest and clown on the USA over it.
there's a similar case against the idea "Yuri wasn't the first up, just the first down" that the USA (and the non-commie world) would be able to notice any rocket that got above xx feet, so there might have been some Apollo 1s but really anybody who got lost would have been dunked on instantlyThat would require people think about it logically.
