Maybe I'm getting old and the cost of gas and just general wear and tear that happens to vehicles and in some places the restaurant might make the driver pay for the order as well or work on commission/tips.

I've worked almost every type of service job imaginable and it's incredibly easy to sniff out scams/pranks and avoid them. Most jobs will even train you on this if you're working directly with the public. Most of the people who fall for these pranks even have legal recourse if they are willing to pursue it. Marty didn't even know the color of and changed the supposed make of the car twice on the phone and the tow truck driver still came out, like a retard. If the idea of a multi-national corporations like Domino's losing 40 cents of ingredients and a delivery driver wasting 15 minutes of their time is preventing you from laughing at a funny situation you probably shouldn't be engaging with lolcow shit.
