This is the absolute worst thing he could do - which means it's probably what he will do.

He's lied so much about what is actually at issue in this matter, preferring to squeal about the "obscene" ruling in the lolsuit [you know, the one he didn't bother appealing while the window was open] that he owes the other party's costs for his discovery blunder [when, in fact, the obscenity was the subhumaniods in charge of the SFWA at the time agreeing to fund the filing of what was, effectively, a SLAPP suit because people called him fat (he is), accused him of being a lousy writer (he is) and said his books absolutely suck (they do)] that it's impossible for him to do anything other than ignore the hearing, let himself be picked up on the warrant that will be issued and oink about the "injustice" of having to spend a night in jail and pay, at most, a $25.00 fine because he won't pay his "abusers" for the "privilege" of "harassing" him is a deadbeat trying to weasel his way out of paying a legally enforceable judgment he incurred through his own stupidity.

He can whine about that ruling all he likes but it is literally a mechanical process that automatically happens, a literal legal no-brainer. If you pitch a tard fit and force a discovery dispute and lose, you owe the other side's fees, period. It is to discourage exactly the kind of pigheaded behavior Rick engaged in.

Now it's possible his incompetent bungling lawyer committed malpractice and failed to warn him about this, but he didn't pursue any relief there either.

He's seriously lucky he got out for just the discovery fees because he'd be out a lot more if Quasi had pursued an anti-SLAPP motion.

Again I shouldn't be shocked from this but it's just so insane how delusional he is. Maybe he's trying to go for some legal strat of not being mentally fit enough? Kind of like how if you're found legally insane you can't be sentenced to death in the US. Is there something like that for avoiding paying Quasi or am I giving Fatrick too much credit for actually having a plan with these insane ramblings?

I think Dan and one of the other pat posters made public statements about going and Dan was going to be a member of the press (which a lot of courthouses have to approve). If people were posting publicly about their intentions to go, I would not be surprised if Pat made a call to the court about his stalker childs showing up and got Dan's press credentials revoked with a warning to stay away.

A message to Dan and other Brothermen:
If you’re going to a court proceeding, or anything else similar having to do with the government, don’t telegraph it. Go there, sit down/record (and enjoy it), and then post anonymously later. There is no reason to give Fat an argument that he actually has “stalkers” in a court room.
