I found this YouTube video (Akademy 2022 Interview: In conversation with Hector Martin), of which he said this:
"I'm Spanish, I was born in Spain, but then I studied in the U.S for a few years, and then I moved back, and then I was in Ireland, ummmm working for a while, and THEN I moved to Japan"

I then found his LinkedIn. Let's link up the events. So he worked for a few companies like Ingeniería Arson and SecuriForest in Spain. (From Jun 2008, to August 2011). He then worked in Dublin for Google, for 2.9 years, and then went to Pixiv in Tokyo, Japan.

The other members are Lethalbit, LunaFoxgirl, and CAI-TAn. There's been speculation that Byuu could be one of these other vtubers, although I'm skeptical. (I personally believe Byuu is back in the US, living with his husband and laying low.)

Marcan seems to have the closest relationship with LunaFoxgirl, who appears to be the unofficial leader of the group. Luna runs both the nullptr::live Twitter account and the vt.social Mastodon instance (where these troon vtubers all have accounts).

Interestingly, it sounds like LunaFoxgirl lives near (or maybe even with) Marcan in Tokyo. He once thanked "her" for picking up a new laptop that was shipped to him. More specifically, Asahi Lina thanked Marcan for sending her a new, free laptop (what a generous guy! :story:) and then thanked Luna for picking it up.

Btw, I want to highlight that Marcan is a hypocrite. As mentioned in the OP, he deleted his Twitter accounts (@marcan42 and @marcan42x). The reason for this is because he was protesting Elon Musk taking over Twitter. [Archive] He first deprecated his accounts before finally deleting them in January 2023.

Marcan predicted that Twitter was going to implode! Of course, it goes without saying that he also hated how Musk was going to make Twitter slightly less of a hugbox.

I was a little confused while writing this post because I had distinctly remembered scrolling through Marcan's Mastodon account last year and reading a giant sperg-out about how Twitter was doomed to catastrophic failure. But those two posts above from November 14, 2022 were all I could find while writing the post today.

I'm now 100% sure that Marcan deleted his sperg-out on Mastodon at some point, but thankfully someone archived it on Twitter. (Marcan had an automated crossposter between Twitter & Mastodon active until November 19th, 2022.)

The tl;dr is that Twitter and other big tech sites are very complex & finicky, and so Twitter was going to crash-and-burn very quickly after Musk fired a whole bunch of employees.
...Well, almost an entire year has passed, and Twitter looks fine to me! :story: Sure, Musk is a dumbass for trying to rebrand it to "X", but that's not an engineering problem. You could maybe point to the rate-limiting thing as a problem, but that's a deliberate choice since Musk was annoyed about Twitter getting scraped by other companies for AI-training. Otherwise, Twitter seems to be operating fine from a tech standpoint. Marcan's prophecy didn't come true. Woops! :lol:

I think the reality (which wasn't even a secret) is that old Twitter was run like an adult daycare, with a bunch of failsons & faildaughters lounging around at Twitter HQ - collecting salaries but not doing any real work. I don't even like Musk, but he clearly made the right move in firing them. Marcan didn't understand this for some reason, but he was too arrogant to admit he was wrong. So he just deleted the sperg-out later and didn't say anything.

That's 100% a scam. I can't imagine NATO (i.e. the NSA and GCHQ) would let Spanish glowies have an insecure mail server. That's definitely the sort of thing they'd check.

NATO wouldn't govern anything related to cybersecurity outside of comsec and standards for military partners but Spain belongs to 13 Eyes and most of those glowniggers would use similar practices especially when it comes to recruitment. Martin is a pathological liar and you don't need a JCS episode on him to understand this. Everything he does and says conflicts with reality and he has the traits of a severe narcissist. He goes out of his way to create conflict for attention and establish himself as a perpetual victim. This is a common theme among all lolcows in general but is especially true in the case of Martin. When it comes to dealing with narcissists you have to take everything they say with a grain of salt because these people are so manipulative to the point where they believe their own narrative they have crafted for themself.

Great op. Pretending his Asahi alter ego is another person is particularly cringe. I'd like to see the other members of that vtuber group doxed as well, I don't think any of their identities were nailed down in the byuu thread.

Request though for the op would be more pre byuu drama if there is much. Was this guy a cow right after being sued by Sony? It goes from his hacking days to events from the last 2 years within about a paragraph. Surely this idiot has stirred up drama in every community he's been associated with within that time.
