Chrissie has a good sized audience and tits. Good for her. Looks like her show tonight sold out as well

I used to watch some of her content.

Her Orlando content house last year that Nick helped promote after she got a YT suspension right before it started, was really boring and cringy.

I unsubbed from her when her fiancé Frank was a hypocrite striking some clips channels like Divinity Said right after Mayr and Brittany Venti made such a fuss over Eliza Bleu doing the same to them.

The YT sub/unsub feature works surprisingly well for unsubbing.

I haven't been recommended a hint of any of Mayr's content since.

We have some DMs from DEC2022-JAN2023 boys! There's no new info in it obviously but still amusing! IIRC (huge emphasis on IIRC) PerceptionCheck is a woman who was active in Nick's discord/yt chat/twitch/what have you and was often in Nick's Live Chat Wednesday (Nick's old offering of weekly chat with people who paid for patreon for access to discord).

Below was posted out of order and I've tried my best ordering it by date without touching the pic. If it's low res, that's because it was posted like that.

Legal discussion channel on YouTube, unironically.

If posting lewds hurt Kayla, it didn't hurt her enough to prevent her from doing these kinds of things that normalize that behavior in her mind (or Nick's). Kayla was also not too traumatized to post a boudoir-shot of herself for the locals in March on her birthday (not to Nick, but for the locals). If Kayla wants to stop being "Our Wife" then she has to stop doing dumb crap like this as if she were some kind of unrepentant attention-seeking e-thot.

I wonder if Kayla's newly discovered sense of shame is related to one or more of the Rekieta kids discovering daddy's content on the internet? I know Nick himself has always said that he wouldn't be bothered for his kids to watch his content but Kayla might be a very different kettle of fish. She might be not at all happy if one or more of her kids came back from home school or Christian summer camp crying because all of his or her friends were laughing at mommy and calling her a whore?

Even if it hasn't happened yet, she'll have to be bracing herself for the inevitability that it's going to happen in the future. This could also explain NIck's much belated attempts to pull up -- his insistance that he was no longer going to feature so much degeneracy on his channel. Being outed might not bother Nick, but how many mothers -- even sluttish mothers -- could fail to be moved by their kids being humiliated by slut-mom's sluttish behaviour?

We're still going to Hedonism II of course, but we won't be posting pics of us naked on the beach with Ricardo and Romaine in future.

Got this off Chrissie Mayr's twitter. For your viewing pleasure (I did not listen to the audio):

Someone did ask where the fuck is his wife (but somehow there's a blonde thot near Nick)

What a difference a year makes.

line.pngline2023.png

I get that the photo from last year was probably taken on the Saturday... but still.

Here's the clip where he brags about the size of his line last year and that his line was longer than Vic's.

I left out a part right before where he talks about how the YouTuber panel was going to be bigger and better this year (looks like it was unceremoniously canned instead) but I kept in where the discussion devolved into sex jokes.

Kurt had a good update video on the convention and is apparently considering moving to Houston: https://www.youtube.com/live/WJFvMx7Jqks?feature=share

So, Kurt confirms that Drexel, Kayla, and Nick are there. Good to know.

So, Drexel, Kayla, and Nick are attending the event, but Nick is singing "Here Without You" in front of a stripper pole while Drexel and Kayla are nowhere to be seen. Also good to know.

What a difference a year makes.

I've mentioned it a few times, but there's also the AM streaming trajectory.

Two plus years ago (not sure the exact year given KickVic & COVID, Nick claims that his AM streams are a print money button with his highest single day superchat totals, with weebs throwing money at him faster than he could read them.

In 2022 after Depp & pre-AM, Nick was still bragging that AM streams were uniquely financially profitable for him above all else and how much he looked forward to them.

Then comes summer 2022 and Nick picks up an inconveniently timed channel strike for the AM weekend (can't remember if it was for a clip of violence in a bodycam video or from a Fuddbusters stream).

Nick gets locked out of his YT for the con (and investing zero effort into developing alt tech alternatives at this point in time). Nick doesn't stream and collects no revenue. Legal Mindset and Kurt do an awkward live.

Nick bitches incessantly how stupid and unfair it was for YT to handicap his most profitable event of the year, robbing themselves of their cut of the revenue. He may have even argued that YT was breaching their fiduciary duty to maximize revenues.

Over the months to come in Aug-Dec 2022

- Nick attends and streams secretly from Hedonism II
- Nick gets a third strike and a "temporary" permanent deletion of his channel after feuding witn Keffals and Duncan MacLeod over "MAPs belong on the wall" comments
- Nick starts streaming to Rumble
- Nick establishes and heavily promotes his 24/7 Locals chat
- Nick starts the drive for 5k subs for his custom secret "gift"
- Nick's YT gets reinstated
- Nick signs exclusive deals with Rumble & Locals
- Mandy posts ancient bobs, wine moms follow suit filling chat with wrinkly lewds from daughter's bedrooms, gay guys join in, Nick & Our Wife start posting bottle and boudoir pics. Lady R subsequently disappears when called out
- Nick's previous Hedonism II summer trip is identified via autism
- alogs start amassing in Elissa Clips' YT comments (and with Clairebere for a short time before she gets doxxed and DFE)
- Nick challenges Montagraph to sue him over pedo accusations. Monty lawyers up with surprising competency and serves Nick with a defamation suit
- Nick runs out and buys a Mustang anyway, promptly crashing it on the drive home from the dealer
- Nick dicks around with self-representation, playing games and insulting opposing counsel and late filings before actually retaining Marc Randazza weeks after he claimed he actually did
- Nick starts e-begging for trial crowdfunding on GSG, raising 10k on the first day, then embarrassingly running out of gas by Day 2, plateauing at 12k
- Coomalot somehow gets Pippa Pipkin on his stream after Nick was denied by management. Coomalot subsequently later shitposts that some random thot in his house was actually Pippa. Shitstorm between Coomalot and simps ensues. Nick wrenches himself into the conflict, shitting on V-tuber management and fans for weeks on his platform.

- Nick is in charge of YT corner at AM 2023. Nick predictably does no work. Anna, TSWG, who also was involved in planning, pulls out, along with the FNT crew minus Nerdrotic.

- Nicholas Rekieta, whom a year ago squealed at the injustice and economic suicide on YT's behalf from keeping him from cashing in on AM '22 streams, doesn't even bother to stream at all at AM '23.

Chad Dads streams coming back need to be added to the list of broken promises. We went from Chad Dads to Coomers like fucking Coomalot. What the Fuck!?

To my memory, the last time he even mentioned doing the Chad Dad show on stream was when he had Shad M. Brooks on the September 23, 2022 show (plus a Kalea shout out). Shad has not appeared on Nick's channel since, nor Az and Sargon for their infrequent painting streams he has talked about doing more of, or Doug Tennapel who was back on Youtube a month after this very show.

Every time that I feel Kurt to be insufferable, he’ll post a video where he’s not only relatively normal, but platforms organizations like Be the Match on his channel.

Also, after reading all of the above, how, HOW does Nick manage to act like this is his first day on the Internet?! Critique, doxing, trolling, gossip, yes, he gets that, all because he can’t keep Internet life and private life separate. Yet his online career sprung forth from such fertile drama.

I can’t emphasize enough he quoted Jim when Ralph was spiraling. “Jim said, ’just do your show.‘ Just do your show, Ralph.” Just do your show, Nick.

edit: words

This youtuber corner is the worst idea Anime Matsuri has ever had and is probably the thing that's most likely to sink their con.
What's hurt AM more than anything were decisions and actions made by John Leigh back in the 2000s and 2010s. What's you're seeing here the result of those bad decisions, and not the bad decisions themselves. To recap, Leigh has a history of failed business deals, unpaid debts, and being a sex pest. There's actual credible proof for each of those. What's been particularly devastating for them is that the anime industry has picked up on this and seems to not want to have anything to do with them.

If they didn't fill that space with Youtubers, it would almost certainly go unused. They simply can't get guests that other anime cons can.

It's been suggested a number of times that AM could make a go of things as being the "bad boy" that invites all the "bad boys" who couldn't get a paid/reimbursed gig at another convention, but that idea really strains credulity when they're now reaching so far into the barrel that they're pulling out Coomalot just to fill space. I thought that 2022 was funny, with the Simpcast panel, but Coomalot is a new low.

Actually, I'm somewhat surprised Coomalot even attended after his bullshit with Pippa. It's temping to say both he and Nick are facing the consequences of their words here, but I don't know if there is any way to actually prove that. After all, I doubt very much attendees are being exit polled. It would be interesting to see if there's any chatter elsewhere that would prove Nick has now well and truly alienated the weebs.

Nicholas Rekieta, whom a year ago squealed at the injustice and economic suicide on YT's behalf from keeping him from cashing in on AM '22 streams, doesn't even bother to stream at all at AM '23.
That's a smart move on his part though. From what I'm seeing, such a stream would be pretty embarrassing. The turnout to see him doesn't look very impressive this year.

We will see today if that all changes. Saturday is usually packed out.

Well, Critical Drinker is here it seems with a line.

I think we all saw that coming. Guy has a healthy fanbase. I imagine Vic will still draw a crowd too.

Still somewhat weird to see CD at an anime convention, but he did do that video shitting on Netflix for that awful Cowboy Bebop adaptation. He also did a Miyazaki video, IIRC.

Wake me if and when there's a line wraping around the block for Nick and/or Coomalot.

Nick doesn't even mention it on his twitter. Funny that Vic didn't come on Nick's channel to promote matsuri but went on a e-thot channel. Guess he knows that Nick has burned all the bridges with the anime people.
Look, you plebian incel, when you're Nick fucking Rekiata, you don't need to "promote" things. You just show up late, gay, and drunk, and the masses will drop to their knees and fawn all over you. How dare you question the social media expert!

Mayr would be used to self-promotion being a moderately successful road comic who has the millstone of Anthony Cumia around her neck.

I recall her talking about that she ran some leftist alphabet people comedy night on Long Island pre-COVID when she still worked a daytime office job, but was excommunicated for being the least bit based.

I guess Mayr also forgave Vic for showing his dong on Simpcast last year.

I think the major difference between him and Vic is obvious. Nick's detractors don't give a crap that Nick's at Matsuri while Vic's detractors are watching him like a hawk preparing to use whatever they can to disparage him and make him look bad

Into the balldo void sadly.

Maybe it's time someone bought Nick a book on creating a social media empire. I'm sure Mr. Beast or someone like him has made one/is making one. It'd be doubly good since it'd give Nick something to "borrow liberally" from when he eventually writes his own!

I've never made a social media empire, nor do I have a desire to. But if I did, it definitely wouldn't be done off the back of a book written by a guy who has lost/damaged his Youtube and Twitter (X) accounts several times.

I have always seen these rumours couched as 'Cancel Culture' by supporters. I am interested with how this is different that gay anime man?

I can definitely see the lack of organisation with all the cancelled events last year at AM. There was also supposed to be ferris wheel that never got up (ditto this year).

What seems to belie this conclusion is that they have has Tohei and Uftoble coming and doing events almost every year. Those seem like big names.
They simply can't get guests that other anime cons can.
This is true. They made themselves very unpopular and the tumors mentioned above keep American anime industry away.

I think their path forward is this new dubbing studio and building connections in Japan.

As a minor note, I followed up on the speculation about the Houston mayorship, and the one who has.been supporting supporting the convention has indeed lost re-election. Time will tells what this means for the convention...
