Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

View attachment 5200864
I realize I'm very late with this one, but what in the actual fuck? I know I shouldn't be surprised in the slightest, but I'm actually bewildered by how much SJW-faggotry they managed to compress into one single comic book page.
They need to do it that way because they're fully aware not a single person is going to unironically read that shit.

comic book writers killed comic books.
lets look at manga which is basically the exact same thing and one single manga is almost outselling the entire comic industry, you know why?
let's say you want to read batman, where do you start.
not issue one, it was rebooted, not this issue either, it was a reboot but there's a more recent reboot. okay you find the right comic to start out with. well there's alll these cameo characters that you have to read in different comic to get more context. how has it been 80 years and batman is still in his 30s? why is character who wasn't gay before all of a sudden a massive pozzholing faggot.

let's say i want to read dragonball, where do i start?
chapter 1?
no reboots, giant retcons, or mass characterization changes for the most part
what about naruto?
chapter 1
my hero academia?
chapter 1

there's also variety, if you want to read comics. there's superhero comics, and superhero comics and more superhero comics. they also make gay superhero comics.

if you want to read manga, you got slice of life stuff, school stuff, sports stuff, drama stuff. im not really into that myself, but some people are.
you certaintly don't get this retarded shit in japan, well let me rephrase. it's not praised like gods gift to earth.

imagine if toei or toriyama released a manga in the same vein, called im not goku. where it exists to put down goku for some shitty self insert character.
What's even even more depressing is that television has also fallen into the same pitfalls that comics were doing the past 50+ years. Name a single episode of a series in the last 10 years that doesn't require you know specific plot points from previous episodes.

My favorite European auction house Catawiki.com is showcasing a special graded comic book auction that ends Wednesday. They have a regular comic book section but this looks like special high-end stuff spanning all eras. Lots of #1's and first appearances, all graded (TMNT #1, Fantastic Four #1, etc). For some unknown reason the first item listed when I load the page is a CGC-graded Playboy #1 but everything else seems to be a comic.

There's even a @FROG cover CGC 9.8 Batman #1 issue with authenticated autos and sketch listed:

(currently at $231 USD but the reserve hasn't been met)

I've bought many things from Catawiki auctions over the years (watches, paintings and original street art). A couple things to know first: they add a 9% + $3 fee to the winning bid as a buyer's premium, be prepared for the fraud alert confirmation from your bank for the unusual overseas charge when you pay and MAKE SURE you're aware of the shipping fee on the item before bidding. Almost everything is coming from somewhere in Europe, shipping will vary per item and can be stupid high.

I've been gone a while and was one of those too dumb/lazy people to use tor. I was finally glad to see I can get here on .pl. Some things/thoughts I have had from reading the pages since about May.

JDA
Not gonna lie, I am not surprised, but thought it was hilarious, that JDA is getting a divorce. That said, I'm gonna hold out for more evidence on the domestic violence thing. JDA is a litigious, vindictive, self centered asshole and I'm guessing any creature willing to marry him would be pretty much the same. Women get these restraining order things during divorce so fucking easily. Hell I hear a radio ad every morning on my way to work from a pro men's rights lawyer group that advertise on how to beat them.

PTP vs Dale
I'm not sure if frog had anything to do with this falling through. I'm pretty sure he would have known about it from the planning stage and would have done something then, not the day before/day of the campaign launching. Also, PTP only has that skeleton gangster through time comic and transformers knock-off comic so him distancing himself from CG can be described as "nothing of value was lost".

Piper vs Micha Curtis
Again, nothing of value was lost.

Cyberfrog 3
This one has be quite the treat. The campaign sits at 396k with 2869 backers as of writing this. As others have pointed out, this one is definitely underperforming. Frogs explanation of "people are waiting to get Cyberfrog 2 before they back 3" is IMHO about 10% truth and 90% straight uncut pure copeium. If the campaign were sitting at 600-700k I would bump up that truth percent. My theory about it underperforming involves multiple factors. People are pissed that CF2 was so late. Frog's antics pissing people off over the past 3 years between CF2 and CF3 campaigns. But I think the biggest reason is the current state of the economy. Prices are only going up and up and couple that with the uncertainty of if a conservative can get into the white house and course correct our spiraling economy. People don't have as much disposable income and/or are saving it to prepare for the worst. A $25 comic that they may get in 2 or 3 years just doesn't factor into that budget, much less a $200 box with 6 of the same comic with different covers on them, Salamandroid 2(Salamandroid 1 being the reason why all the CF2 boxes are more late than the other tiers) and the CF1 and CF2 collected editions(which people interested in this box probably already have). I could be wrong, but we shall see.

All in all, it's great to be back!

Update: Frog's 9.8 cover failed to meet the reserve price after bidding stalled at $412 (~$500 USD total shipped + buyer's premium). None of the auctions with reserve prices are selling and those without a reserve are going for a lot lower than I would've guessed. Many are selling for less than the cost to have them graded.

Bubble status = popped.

don't know if this is where I can post about it but was able to read the pirated version of Isom #1 and that book is so mid that it hurts. The names of the superheroes sound like generic Mortal Kombat names instead of actual superheroes. Not one superhero wearing a mask (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt maybe superheroes aren't allowed to wear mask because of laws). The art isn't anything bad but it isn't pretty to look at. Bland dialogue, follow same cliches, Rippaverse is looking to be the 578th superhero company to spin the superhero wheel.
Yawn/5

I have an honest question. What purpose does Eric July flagging Vikki serve? I can understand going after the source of the leak, even if I disagree with the act of doing so. But some random low-follower youtuber/twatter user like Vikki who shared a couple panels/pages? It seems unproductive as it doesn't address the actual leak. It merely streisand effects the message of a "hater" as he likes to call them. Evidenced by the fact Vikki got on with Rekieta et all, and now more people appear to be paying attention to her / agreeing with her.

Hell, the flagging of Riley is some shit I think is in poor taste as well. Clear parody of Eric's brand, done in a wrestling promo style.

Has Eric ever threatened lawsuits against people? Accused people of being "criminal stalkers"? I've seen him drop passive-aggressive threats then say its "ghetto talk" or however he phrased it.

Also are people ignoring the fact pirates are some of the best marketing a product can receive? If your product is seeing mass-appeal on the open seas -- it will draw even more interest. Word of mouth is the greatest marketing tool that exists. To a point corporations literally astroturf campaigns about their own damn products to force it into public consciousness. Granted this really only results in sales if the product is good, or "so bad its good", but still. If he believes his product is meritorious, why censor what is essentially free marketing?

Noticing some shared behavior between Liam Gray and Eric July and I'm not yet certain what to think about it. So I'll just laugh and hope he course corrects.

the nigga can't take criticism

Thats it. That's the reason

the dude should (and probably is) happy that he made millions off of a mid property that will be looked back as: "holy shit this book made how much money?" moments in crowdfunding history

The Cyberfrog3 campaign ended after 1 month and is now InDemand. Final tally was about $510k following a $105k final day. This is the first Frog campaign that wasn't extended an extra month to spare the further embarrassment.

That's pretty embarrassing compared to what a lot of randos do in terms of crowdfunding if they're well known. Still kind of surprising he's getting so much with all the shit I've heard though.

I'm pretty sure he sold the $20,000 Keown cover, his $10,000 cover and a few of the other $1,000+ perks during the last couple days and that really boosted the final number. There may have also been a little fuckery afoot since the big stretch goal was unlocked at $500k and it barely hit that at the deadline.

In an interesting twist there were only $480 in total action figures sales by my count, with nobody buying the full action figure package. IMO designing/producing those dolls are what hijacked and derailed the CF2 campaign, causing it to be much later than it otherwise would've been. Imagine destroying your multi-million dollar comic book brand over some dolls that nobody asked for.

Deleted my previous post and I'm now reposting with more correct info.

Apparently Doomcock is Doomautisming again and Fandom Menace people are mean girling Doomcock after Star Wars Theory called him out..

Tranthony is the slum land Lord, and Ryzie Lee is the welfare queen tenant section 8 Barron. I don't even know what the kangz do these dayz, I Listen to laugh and Amateur Anth, Ryzie, Hiyawatha, and Hargrave provide that chuckle.
Finatra you put me to sleep, but the simping for men more successful, and wealthy than you is cringe as fuck. But I get it your viewers derive from comicsgate, and your ability to use fruity loops.. ...

I'm amazed Finatra still streams and Ryzie hasn't drank himself to death or OD'd yet. OZ was the only sane one but he flew too close to the sun trying to monetize all those degenerates. WTF do they talk about? CG is over.

The three year anniversary of my contribution is coming up on Tuesday, and thus far I have received... nothing.

A lot of people have been burned like me, and my approach to Cyberfrog 3 (and to a lesser extent, Reinbough Brute) is to wait to see if I'm still interested in 2027 and jump onto the second chance campaign.

How do you fail to deliver a single comic book or two in the span of three years?
