Yeah that's absolutely fair. The script is dreadful, it's been a while since I played the first two Baldur's Gates, so it might just be nostalgia, but I'm sure they used to be better written.
It's telling that toob reads this character and the Baldur's Gate character exactly the same. Without the visuals you would not know which was which.
I welcome anyone coming into the light but these people were always obvious during the Online Feminism Wars as they are in every other instance of Kulturkampf. They never engage with the material or the arguments, not arguments in favor or material against their position. For them, literally everything is a weapon to be used to gain power and status. And that's it. Other people may think we're engaged in an endless Habermasian discussion about the ever changing perceived positioning of women in society and whether and what should be done about it but these people know everything really exists purely to achieve their personal political goals. They'll outright tell you this: everything is political, the personal is the political, you can't get away from politics, every act is a political act, etc. They conceive of the world as a zero-sum contest between opposing forces, so if one "wins" the other "loses" and this is existential in nature. Unification with the larger social-political-culture isn't their goal, they don't actually want to normalize things, they want to dominate everything and they perceive unification with the masses as unjustified submission of themselves since they must always stand out for unique praise.

The reason the animations are wonky is because he didn't follow the direction and the animators were left to clean up the mess. As always, he's his own worst enemy by just nakedly admitting to it.
Even if it were possible (I suspect it's not, he thinks they created an AI to read and understand human emotions?) it raises the question of why you would mocap someone just to overwrite them with AI extracted animations. The way and why they do these facial mocaps are so nobody has to do any animation except to fix any recorded errors, it's supposed to just map automatically to the model.
