Where funny? Seriously there's really nothing funny about this article, contrasting it to his older work. Hell this article wouldn't have made the cut on the various Second and Third 'Best Pages In The Universe" back in the day.

I stopped reading Maddox after he started doing videos and I heard his high pitched, nasally voice. Just had a look through his website and his quality really did take a nosedive about ten years ago. Between his writing being shit, the cuck confirmation video, and him generally being a giant faggot, he's never coming back.

He's also tried to move * away * from the shock/troll persona in recent years. Even if the article were funny (it isn't) his new fanbase is not going to care for it and his old one moved on years ago.

I'm surprised he even has a fanbase honestly, I thought he died in 2004 or something when people still read his old site and he stopped posting as frequently. Then I saw some of his videos a few years ago and was surprised that he moved format. Haven't seen anything by him since his first few youtube videos until I found this thread and boy am I happy I never followed that trainwreck further.

Sometimes the biggest lesson I see from people like Maddox is, "you should never put any form of self-expression into the world until you're almost forty."
Maddox is one example why: the shock/edgelord stuff was probably just him going through a typical young man phase, and then he grew out of it and was embarrassed that was what he was known for. By forty, who you are now is likely who you will be for the rest of your life, which would've nullified some of the problems people like Maddox are facing now.

I disagree - the issue facing current Maddox isn't that his old content made him too controversial to work with or pigeonholed him into shock/edgy humor, it's that his content just isn't good anymore. He's not even interesting enough for ex-fans/people who sided with Dick when BPITU collapsed to show up and say "lol cuck" or "what happened, I remember when this guy was funny". There is a reason this thread moves so slowly even when he puts a new article out.

That said, if there is anything Maddox did “right” over the last few years it was not engaging with his trolls (besides Dick and co). He stands out to me as a Lolcow for this reason. This thread would probably be a thousand pages or more if he had done so. Instead, former fans and would be trolls just sort of forget that he exists.
