The fact that he does provide good advice sometimes is, imo, even worse in the long run. It's not a fake accent. He is British, but he was born in the US and lived there for the first few years of his life before his parents divorced and his mother took him & his brother to England. So his accent is a weird mix of British and American.
His brother Tristan sounds more British than him, though, for whatever reason. But we also don't hear him talk as much as Andrew, obviously.
