Which at the time filmsy reason or not, finishing the job that should've been done during Desert Storm was still good enough reason to off him. Since Daddy Bush refused to do cause of middle-east realpolitiks. Clinton was impersonating Truman and LBJ by launching Tomahawks at Iraq every other day to get Saddam to behave with the U.N.

Lets be honest here, everything currently works on printing monopoly money in mass while winking at each other with an "I won't tell if you won't" smile and letting inertia do the rest.
If currency devaluation actually correlated to the print rate, the dollar (and most other currencies) would be in the shiter. And since nobody is keen on that and everybody is indebted to each other/depends on each other, they all turn blind eyes.

When I was a teen I knew right wingers were bad because they were cruel and geedy, that green energy like windmills and solar panels were the future and that Clinton was the cool president. The twist is I have never lived in the US, just consumed a ton of it's media, yet these were my default stances and school wasn't doing anything that would make me change them.
It's not till a good chunk of years later when things challenged my view and I had dissonance, but thankfully instead of rationalizing, y reevaluated my beliefs. Many people don't even reach that step. And that's how you end up with school rebels that still love globohomo and all is right in the world.
Why work when food stamps are good enough? I have had little debates with people too idealistic for their own good, they believe a post scarcity society would be a land of wonders where all would self actualize and reach enlightment.
Reality is that it would devolve to what we see already, huge amounts of zombified like apathy, a base drive to only cover the basest desires and no real drive to do or achieve anything. Liberals are unable to process that most people are the equivalent of cattle and they are perfectly fine living like that. I'm not the mist travelled, but I have gone to some European capitals and San Fran (yes, I know it's the fucking eye of the vortex) and it was the worst by far of homelesmess just being everywhere and very visible. Our system, even as bad as it is now, isn't really ideal for show trials. Even as shit gets ridiculous in the courts, our legal system it's still bound by at least the threat of due process.
