I can personally attest that for Rittenhouse a lot of my much less online lawyer friends started watching his trial coverage and then dropped off because there was no new trial. If Nick would have just transitioned to mostly daytime trial coverage I think he would have retained a large audience.

He has a million excuses for why he didn't, but I think at the end of the day it was that he didn't want to manage payout splits to keep other creators interested, and he was only personally invested in trials that were political/salacious (see the Murdaw rage-quit). Also, it would have put the kibosh on late night dick around streams.

As far as validity is concerned, he's ignoring the fact that Kiwi Farms was almost totally supportive of Nick just a year or two ago. Here's a comparison of the banners from this year and last year.

Last year's banners were larger and were sat on the floor rather than just draped from the wall. They featured pictures of the creators in addition to the name and also included "YOUTUBE SQUARE" branding in addition to the YouTube logo. It doesn't look like they set up anything special for the tables.

However, this years' banners, despite being more spartan, clearly stated the names of the creators and were placed high enough that it would actually probably be easier to tell who was at a given table from a distance.

With cons it depends, if you're a vendor you get the building minimums where you get a table and chair per section (10'x10' normally) and it's your job to provide anything you wish to set up in the booth. Even getting additional chairs, tables, or even an Internet hookup in your booth as a vendor is as overpriced as con food. With guests, they sometimes get a bit more, but they're still usually the ones to bring any merch and banners as they travel around normally and do enough speaking to have a company cover a set up they can take wherever.

I know you and @Pippa's Greasy KB are saying this is Anna and Nick passing the buck back and forth, but I don't see how his booth was an issue unless Nick or somebody else perceived it as an issue and is throwing a fit. And I don't see anybody perceiving it as an issue unless they are assmad by the lack of attention Nick got this year. CD seemed to do good for himself despite having a nearly identical booth design.

Most of Nick Rekeita’s commenters on his stream manage to make him sound less interesting, even with the support of his hedonistic tendencies. If anything, the random.txt statements on his live chats make it more bearable to witness than actually hearing more of his legal advice on anything.

And his legal advice has gotten more rare if ever, after just me lurking on the last few pages on this thread.
